Flexibility: Best time of the day

    Best time of the day

Never before I was able to touch the floor with straight legs. Now due to quarentene i started training my flexibility and by day 8 i could finally go further, but oh boy, the difference that two days can make. For the first time ever I'm touching the floor with my fists.

    Back bend on pole

I've taken bits of this routine and used it as a great warm-up, both mental and physical, to any stretching or workout.

    Experiences with 'Easy Flexibility' programs

    Posted: 23 Apr 2020 04:30 AM PDT

Has anyone else done the easy flexibility programs? 2 weeks ago I purchased my first one (intermediate open splits) and I am nearly at full split (I am about half an inch off the ground)- and while i probably sound like an advertisement, I am blown away with the result in such short time. I have done the program 5 x total in 2 weeks.

It is a different method, unlike anything I have done before (which is static or pnf). Is there anything else out there that has similar techniques?

Would love to know if anyone else had good (or bad!) Results with these programs.

    Weekly schedule to improve Flexibility

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 05:58 PM PDT

Hi everyone! I have spent the last two years working on my flexibility. In those two years I have improved a lot. I was really stiff and right now palms on floor, deep squat and the majority of begginer poses feel easy.

So I decided to pursue some advance goals like Front Splits, Middle Splits, Pancake and Bridge.

Right now I am training in this way:

    Day 1: Middle + Pancake

    Day 2: Rest

Day 3: Front Split + Bridge

    Day 4: Rest

    Repeat

My question is: How can improve this? I was wondering to work in something like this:

    Day 1: Middle + Pancake

    Day 2: Bridge + Shoulders

    Day 3: Front Splits

    Day 4: Rest

But any idea or suggestion would be amazing!

How long did it take you to get your splits?

I'm generally not flexible so I've been trying to get back at it and I'm just interested in hearing other people's perspectives :)

Pain with pancake / side splits?

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 01:57 PM PDT

Hi there, been messing around with stretching and have been making pretty good progress for the most part. However I just can't seem to do the butterfly or side splits without it hurting, and on a few occasions strained my groin. Anyway I stopped doing them for a while to work on other things.

So I've managed to get my butterfly pretty good I can get my chest down to my feet and can go deep into frog pose. But still pancake causes me pain to even attempt it? Any advice on other ways to progress towards it?

    Confused on where to start??

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 06:14 AM PDT

Hey guys, I've always been interested in doing yoga/stretches at home but I am confused on where I should start. I would like to work on my back, hips and leg flexibility.

What's a good warm up routine and how long should I do it for before I actually start stretching?

What kind of routine should I do? How will I know if I'm holding or doing the position right or if I have the right posture?

Let's say for an example I wanted to work on my splits, after a month of doing a routine (lunges, half splits, etc), holding each stretch for let's say 30 secs, for 5 days a week. I seem to be making no progress. What would I do? Would I hold my poses for longer, and for how long? Stretch deeper?

    So many questions??????

    Seated straddle stretch

    Posted: 22 Apr 2020 09:25 AM PDT

How have y'all improved your seated straddle stretch? When I sit down, I can barely lean forward. Are there any stretches that help with that? For reference, I do a lot of Jiu jitsu and would love the ability to fold forward to help my guard retention.
