Life is amazing - Letting go was the answer Posted: 28 May 2020 12:23 PM PDT Life is fantastic. This moment is all I need, perfect and shining like a diamond. I don't want or crave anything. I knew it before but forgot. All I needed to do was to stop trying, to let go, to enjoy the moment and the perfection of all that is would once again come back around. I had it before but lost it. I tried meditating harder, reading more books around it, watching myself from different angles, theorising new ways to look into it all - they all worked in small ways but it was never what I needed. All I needed to do was to stop trying. Let go of all effort and just be. When worries of losing it again come round I accept them and let them go. Don't fight it, let life take you along. I will eventually lose this again, and that will be alright. I will accept this and let the pain and sadness that life contains come back. It will be alright. Just stop trying. [link] [comments] |

Does Meditation make you a better Lucid Dreaming? Posted: 29 May 2020 02:23 AM PDT I have really been getting in lucid dreaming lately, and i have been finding it coming to me much easier then other people i talk to. I meditate regularly compared to the people i spoke to that struggle with lucid dreaming (for those that dont know, lucid dreaming is when you wake your mind while your asleep and become complete conscious and awake inside your dream, allowing you to control every part of your dream, just like inception). Has anyone else found that they can have much more control in lucid dreaming due to meditation. I think it makes sense because it helps me to stay calm, especially when starting a lucid dream, i dont get too excited that im in the dream. This could just be something thats different from everyone but it would really make sense to me that mindfulness and having control of your mind will give you more control inside a lucid dream. I am in a live chat at the moment discussing lucid dreaming and meditation, come share your wisdom [link] [comments] |
Wanting to meditate again but struggling. Posted: 28 May 2020 10:53 PM PDT Hi! Im new here. So, here is my dilemma and some brief history: When I was younger, probably my early to mid teens, I actively practiced meditation. I had gotten to a point where I could easily focus on breathing, quiet my mind, and reach this state where it felt like my mind was floating in a void. I loved it. Fast forward and I'm now 29, taking medication for anxiety, having trouble focusing, and my internal voice wanders loudly and just will not be quiet. So here is the question: how can I get back into meditating so that I can reach that quiet again? When in that mode or place, I didnt hear what was going on around me. The ceiling fans were unnoticeable, the air conditioner turning on didn't register, it was like falling into a dreamless sleep but being perfectly conscious inside. I wanna do that again. So, I'm open to suggestions! [link] [comments] |
Question about self/ internal talk. Posted: 28 May 2020 10:31 PM PDT I started meditating about 3 years ago, & at that time though I had to eliminate self talk & have wordless intention to advance my practice. So I did just that, as well as I feel like I had little "self-talk" that wasn't directly controlled before that. Like, when thinking of what to say (or winning an argument in my head), I would have an internal voice, but I feel I have had little to none of the nagging, uncontrolled monkey brain. So now, practically the only self talk I have is almost completely consciously controlled (Like internally saying what I'm writing as I write this). Though when meditating, I will occasionally get distracted by thoughts; they're not really self talk, but pictures (& sometimes sound, smell, or taste). Have I trained myself to not have self talk? Never had it? Am I misunderstanding what it is? Or, most importantly (to me), having it, but not aware of it? Or is it something else entirely? [link] [comments] |
The longest journey you will take in your life is the 18 inches from your head to your heart Posted: 28 May 2020 04:27 PM PDT Sometimes In my practice I find myself constantly looking for shiny new objects in terms of spiritual practice. Whats the perfect posture? How should I pay attention? Am I in the correct tradition? Whats the science? Be careful...this is a trap...these are all thoughts generated by your head...just 18 inches below is a much more intelligent force...learn to rest there and the path will unfold naturally ahead of you [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 May 2020 09:25 PM PDT My mother is 61 for reference, so I understand her brain may not be too plastic anymore. Anyways, she has been meditating daily for 20 minutes a day/3 months now. She is an overthinker, anxious type. She's always working and thinking. She complains how she is wasting her time and she notices nothing, and at this point, I don't know what advice to even give her other than the typical "hang in there" etc. and I'm hoping someone here could help me out. I understand there is no goal of meditation, and if you "look" for things you will be dissatisfied. I've explained all this to her. I would love for her to reap the benefits of meditation, but I really have no idea what to say/advise at this point for her. It almost seems like she's getting more dissatisfied. If anyone could help that would be amazing. Thanks :) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 May 2020 01:59 AM PDT So I started to meditate recently and I can manage 8 minutes of no movement or thoughts really but after that I struggle to keep my head empty I guess you could say my mind just starts wondering off and I lose focus of my breathing any tips from people who meditate often? (Btw I started yesterday so I'm totally new to this and not sure if this is how everyone starts out) [link] [comments] |

Guide To Raise Your Vibrational Frequency & Consciousness Posted: 29 May 2020 12:22 AM PDT What Is Human Vibrational Frequency?Everyone and everything has a vibrational frequency (also known as your aura, energy body, light body, life energy, soul, spirit, or essence) and your body is healthier and able to function better at a higher frequency. This means your body becomes emotionally, physically, mentally, and spiritually healthier as you raise your vibrational frequency. In doing so you will allow yourself to see things more clearly as you awaken, raise your consciousness towards enlightenment and ultimately ascend to higher densities/dimensions. The vibrational scale of consciousness teaches us that (e)motions = energy in motion. Energy vibrates at a certain frequency. The law of vibration activates the law of attraction and through the law of deservedness you attract what you send out by the emotions you hold in your body. What Methods Are There To Raise Vibrational Frequency & Consciousness?1. Decalcify The Pineal Gland:

Posted: 28 May 2020 11:56 PM PDT Hi guys, I used to do this specific meditation all the time, but stopped meditation for a while and lost track of it. I'm nearly 100% certain it was on the Insight Timer app, and it was a guided meditation between 30 min and an hour (can't quite remember) about connecting with your higher self. I've been researching and I know it's not the one from New Horizon. This meditation guided me on a journey leaving my body and floating through the roof and then up the side of a mountain until I was standing in a circle of large standing rocks. Can anyone point me in the right direction to find this again? [link] [comments] |
Meditating just makes me annoyed Posted: 28 May 2020 11:44 PM PDT I really dont get it I sit there I straighten the back try to focus on the breathing and I just get annoyed by it my shoulders hurt and I could be doing something else with my time this is really seeming like some bs you all just bought into [link] [comments] |
What Meditating taught me about letting go Posted: 28 May 2020 10:11 AM PDT I was doing a 30 minute meditation and I found that before I could even finish my thought the thought would disappear. I've been thinking about an ex a lot but after this I realised that I'm remembering a false perception of who they are, clinging to an illusion my mind has created. An illusion. I think now I'm happier to make the choice to let things go because nothing is meant to last forever and that's okay, it means you'll get to experience new things along the journey of life. Hands lose circulation when meditating Posted: 28 May 2020 07:47 PM PDT I meditate in the standard lotus pose on a meditation pillow. Palms are resting on my knees, index finger and thumb touching. More often than not I'll end up having to stop because hands or feet start loosing circulation and can't keep pushing it aside. Anyone else has this problem and what do you do? It last for a few minutes after I stop, till I guess i get the blood flowing again. After looking on google, another person said it can just be a byproduct of going further into meditation. Personally I don't think it's that though. Any tips/insight would be great, thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 May 2020 05:31 PM PDT After 2 years I backed to meditation, and it was cool. Meditation with music is much better, because it helps me to focus and calm down. Usually I was doing 2 types of meditation for a few years in the past. One is visual meditation. You are doing some activities in your head. Sometimes you visualize things you would want to happen. Sometimes self-love, visualizing hugging and loving yourself. Sometimes visualizing a separate world from all of this. Like, practicing to detach from everything what is happening here in this world, and you just look from somewhere else at this tiny world, and you realize how many things don't matter. How your problems are so tiny and so far from you. Just a separate world where you are free from everything. I liked to add things to my perfect world, like, holding hands with my soulmate. The other type of meditation is, what I call hypnagogic meditation. It takes a bit more practice. You try to block your thoughts when they pop to your mind, and focus on the blackness. You are simply focused on the blackness and blocking your thoughts. Sooner or later, some images will pop up to your mind from time to time, and you just watch them. With time you are so focused on these images, (later scenes or sounds) that you are closed to other things. You are just in your mind, you forget about time and other things, and you are falling deeply into relaxation. Sometimes you can be so focused on Hypnagogia, that you can 20 minutes later realize that you didn't think about anything. You were not thinking, you were not trying to relax, you were not trying to be in the present moment. You were just into your mind. I am hyped to start meditating again. My goal is to not lose my awareness so fast when I will be falling asleep. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 May 2020 11:12 PM PDT I used to be able to cope much better with uncertainty than I do now, does anybody else feel the same way?

What’s your ideal meditation position/setting? Posted: 28 May 2020 11:09 PM PDT I'm pretty new to meditation & started by simply sitting in a chair but I recently tried the stereotypical cross legged on the floor thing & as painful as it is at the beginning of the session, the feeling just fades away as I concentrate on my breathing & my entire body relaxes. Typically just done in my room first thing in the morning. [link] [comments] |
