    Back flexibility not progressing

    Posted: 27 Jun 2020 04:30 AM PDT

I've been stretching since october 2019 (barring a few months I took off) and have recently achieved my front splits. However, despite having back stretches in my routine there seems to be absolutely no progress (sorry, I don't have any pics to demonstrate this).

Currently, I'm doing cat/dog, seal and bridge pose, plus using a band to get as close as i can to a beilman (sorry, this is a figure skating term... I dont know what this is called outside of figure skating). I hold these poses for 60 seconds.

Can anyone recommend any good back stretches or give me tips for stretching the back?

    Thank you in advance!

    Walking on inverted ankles

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 07:11 PM PDT

New here and tried looking up some things relating to ankle inversion and found very little. I'm very clumsy and have found myself in many situations where I could have sprained my ankles, but have thankfully found that they are naturally flexible. I am able to walk short distances with my ankes inverted but would like to continue gaining flexibility/strength to keep avoiding sprains. Any recs?

I’ll remind you every day to stop slouching as you browse through Instagram ♥️

I genuinely think it may help some people.. I've received tons of compliments and comments from people that my page has helped a lot. It's a little silly and playful (well actually very playful, I call my followers "No Slouch Gang" and "Straight Back Gang" 😂), but basically I post a picture every day that says "stop slouching" in all caps so as you scroll through your feed it can remind you 🙂 it's very simple and I switch up the colors every day.

I also have a thing where if you turn on post notifications I occasionally send reminders in the form of notifications. Anyways if you think you might find this at all helpful, it's @slouchreminder on Instagram ♥️ i don't mean to be an annoying self promoter I really apologize, just thought it may help some people 🙏

    Morning flexibility training

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 11:19 AM PDT

I usually stretch for about an hour and a half 5-6 days a week, using a mixture of passive, active, dynamic and pnf stretches. Recently I've lost motivation and find that knowing I have to stretch is hanging over my head all day and I keep putting it off until I either end up not bothering or stretching at 3 in the morning.

I want to start waking up early and fitting in at least an hour of stretching first thing in the morning, but I've read a lot of conflicting info about the effects of early morning stretching.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I was planning on doing a decent warm up before stretching with cardio and joint rotations. But I'm worried that I won't be able to increase my ROM in the morning because it will take longer just to reach my current ROM.

Any info would be much appreciated ☺️

Hi everyone! I'd appreciate some help. I haven't been able to go lower. My back leg does not lay flat. Any tips or stretching for me to get my splits?
