    Planning for an Ashtanga Practice

    Hey all,

I'm wanting to work up to an Ashtanga practice during quarentine, and would love some feedback on my current plan.

In September, I'll take Amica Hilton's unlimited classes online as I really need a consistent teacher and time to practice. My current studio is just all over the place with class types, teachers, and changes in scheduling and it's made it really difficult to get on any sort of routine with it.

In September, I'll can also take Jen Rene's Introduction to Mysore, which is a four class course over four weeks to build some foundation and basic working knowledge.

In October, I can start taking Mysore classes online with someone totally badass in a far away place. After watching a lot of Ashtanga interviews, I really like Maty Ezraty's approach Ashtanga, emphasizing the practice's accessibility to any body type, and allows for some flexibility in her teaching methods, drawing from other practices like Iyangar. In general, she does not have a rigid approach to Ashtanga, while still keeping its core principles. If you have any recommendations for badass female teachers that offer zoom classes regularly, I would much appreciate that.
I found a couple of teachers already, but not sure if they are the type I'm looking for. Perhaps I won't know until I take some classes with them.

And FINALLY, when quarantine is over, I can start practice at a local studio, and/or continue my practice at home (which is my ultimate preference).

Given Mysore's format, I think it would be hard to start this practice over zoom though. The practice seems right up my ally though, so any thoughts on how to begin would be amazing.

My girlfriend has started doing Ashtanga with me, and she wont believe me that corpse pose for an appropriate time is a very important pose? Could anybody here back me up?
