The poses are what you're doing. The yoga is how you're doing it. Posted: 01 Aug 2020 08:49 AM PDT My teacher said this in class the other day. I think it's a variation on something Rolf Gates has said. Anyway, I really liked it and wanted to share. It got me thinking a bit and I hope it does the same for you. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Aug 2020 07:58 PM PDT To start, I've only been doing yoga for eight months now at least five times a week for an hour if not more. I'm finding a lot of success except in two areas: hip release and balance. I havent had any increased hip flexibility since starting, and the pain is still as intense as it was at day one. is there something I'm not doing right? The same goes for my balance; my left side balances mostly fine, but I always fall over when working on the right side. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I'm starting to think my hips are just like this [link] [comments]

Question for Yoga friends of Reddit Posted: 01 Aug 2020 02:11 PM PDT I've been forcing myself not to miss a day of practice. Is this a good idea or should one take a day off every now and then? [link] [comments]

Poses that will help stretch my left side? Posted: 01 Aug 2020 03:06 PM PDT So I bike on a regular basis, and I've noticed on days I bike this doesn't happen, but: Often times when I wake up in the morning my left side aches pretty terribly. I do various Warrior poses and basic stretches in the morning to get it to loosen up, but are there any specific poses besides Warrior that would help? I think part of this is also due to my weight, which I'm trying to lose, but I'm looking for something that will help as I keep losing weight. [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 06:26 PM PDT When studios opened about a month and a half ago in my area, I decided to go back to CorePower Yoga as a SET member. As a SET member, you pay 40 dollars for your unlimited membership, and you clean 1.5 hours a week to cover the other portion. I've been doing set for over a year now at different studios of Corepower, and I recently moved to a new location (but I know the manager from working with her at a different studio months prior) So on the 1st of every month we are charged 99 dollars for the membership. Last month I wasn't able to pay by the 1st because of financial reasons, and I asked the manager if I could pay later but she just kept responding to me to talk to corporate, it seemed really cold. I had to try to email Corepower corporation because they aren't taking calls rn, and weeks later I get a reply. They just told me that when the autopay went through I wasn't charged because my card wasn't on file, so i immediately updated my card and it charged the 99 dollars. But then studios in my area ended up closing like 2 weeks ago so what I don't understand is why they would charge me again today the 99 dollars if I can't even take classes. Not only that, but my manager, tried charging $16 for the 2 classes I took, because I paid my membership late I guess. I only took 2 classes in person since they opened. I have to get a new card now because trying to freeze my account and stop the autopay is impossible with CorePower. I love CorePower, but I don't know why they have to make this so difficult. And I know it's not my managers fault but I wish that she wasn't so cold to me in helping me figure this out [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Aug 2020 10:20 AM PDT Not sure if this belongs here, I just wish I do yoga more often than I do now. I can't seem to be motivated enough to go to classes, and when I do manage to go, I feel tense, I compare myself with the more advanced students and half way through the class I'm exhausted and wish the class is finished already...but I love how my body feels the day after, yoga is hands down my favorite workout because i enjoy simplicity and solitude. Any advice? [link] [comments]
Psychedelic Experience Through Yoga Posted: 01 Aug 2020 01:36 PM PDT from what I've heard kundalini yoga can leave you with the same effects as DMT. Are there any other mind-blowing things I should know about yoga? [link] [comments]
