Yoga: Take a deep breath in. Close your eyes. Smooth through the crown of your forehead and release any crinkles you may find. Unclench your jaw and allow your tongue to fall from the roof of your mouth. Focus on your breath. You are safe. You are loved. For the next few moments, there is nothing to do.

[COMP] Managed to finally hold pincha mayurasana long enough to snap a pic

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 01:47 PM PDT

Correct my pincha mayurasana please :)

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 07:52 AM PDT

    Hello,

As the title says - it would be really appreciated.

I have been practising yoga since last October and my pincha in particular since June of this year. What I notice myself, is that I banana back and I am doing Kino's yoga drills to get a stronger core.

Do you see anything else aside from a lack of core strength? I feel like once I am on top, I find it hard to balance somehow. The video contains two clips, one where I topple over, which happens 90% of the time and another one where I don't hold it as long but I am able to land 'properly'.

    Please help.

Can extended time in supta baddha konasana create lower back strains?

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 12:21 PM PDT

So when I lay on my back, my legs want to splay open just like this yoga pose. I have a current back strain and when I lay down with my legs open like this my back is always super stiff and sore. I can barely walk!

Does anyone have any experience with this? Obviously I'm trying to avoid letting my legs splay like this but sometimes it just happens.

    Yoga Apps

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 10:22 AM PDT

I have read the faq and the app section seems to have not been updated, I have read the area regarding it not being a replacement for real classes, but I want to be in a position to get myself a little more limber before doing that because the brief app class I did the sheer tightness in my legs from sport and cycling means I wouldn't get my moneys worth jumping straight into a class.

So I'm after an app that I can do for 6 months or so to loosen me up, but like the world I don't want to pay a lot for it. I started off with Down Dog and it was fine but its got to the paying point and at this time I can't justify the outlay.

    So what are the options?

    Thanks in advance.

A few weeks in to yoga! Need help on loosening them hamstrings

    Posted: 22 Aug 2020 05:39 AM PDT

Hi guys! I am 8 weeks into practicing yoga and would appreciate help on loosening my hamstrings! I can't seem to flatten my feet during downward dog and I also want to deepen my forward folds (I've seen some improvement as I am able to touch my fingers on the floor compared to when I was just starting!)

Would appreciate tips and exercises that would help me loosen up! Thank you!!!

Another mat post...lululemon mats not holding up?

    Posted: 21 Aug 2020 10:50 PM PDT

I really love my lulu reversible mats. The problem is is that they seem to lose the grippiness relatively quickly (< 1year) with 4-6 days of use a week. Is this about what people are also experiencing or am I doing something wrong?
