Pranayama: A couple of questions from a recent convert |
| A couple of questions from a recent convert Posted: 24 Sep 2020 10:01 AM PDT So, a couple of these may seem pretty silly but I will ask anyway! Is it possible that starting some very basic breathing exercises could cause the generation of quite a lot of phlegm. It is improving now after a few weeks but initially I was coughing up a lot of cattarh. Or did I just have a cold?! My aim at present is to get to 1-minute breaths but I find that some days it's almost impossible while others it is significantly easier. Same conditions every day, first thing in the morning and before I have eateten anything. I am assuming this variability is entirely normal? I just ordered BKS Iyengar's "Light on Pranayama" although haven't received it yet as I am away from home. Is it as good a book as they say? Any others you recommend? Lots of Q's sorry!
