Tried this pose for the first time today, and just loved the pic so I decided to it share here. My roommates don’t appreciate the flexibility

(*UPDATE* Might have found something) Constant tight trap on the right side. I just want to know what I can do to stretch this. 2 years of this and im going crazy.

The infraspinatus and supraspinatus might have been the cause of the tight trap/neck. I've been doing some stretches up against the wall and I FINALLY have some relief.

Hey Flexibility-Seekers! I think you'll enjoy this yin yoga practice for flexible legs; there's lots of beginner-friendly, long-hold poses, to release stiff, tight legs... and gain flexibility in the legs and hips. I hope you enjoy it!

    Gluteus Medius Pain

    Posted: 20 Oct 2020 04:28 AM PDT

I get pain in the right Gluteus medius after sitting in the split with my right leg in front. I've seen many physiotherapists and chiropractors, but all of them failed to diagnose the root cause of the pain. What step should I take next?

    Spine strength and flexibility

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 07:53 PM PDT

Stuart McGill says that powerlifting and yoga are bad combinations because powerlifting stiffens the spine in order to lift heavy loads, especially the lumbar portion, while yoga emphasizes a flexible spine which weakens the spine (it's worth mentioning he said some people can be strong and flexible). What level can I have both benefits, or at least some of the benefits, before I have to choose one or the other entirely?

Ps, I never plan to be serious about either of these. I just want to be as healthy as possible

    Foam Roller For Athletic Training

    Posted: 19 Oct 2020 12:01 PM PDT

Hello, I was talking to a friend about some stiffness and aches/pains that I have periodically and they suggested this foam roller to me: 321 STRONG Foam Roller - Medium Density Deep Tissue Massager https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07B9HBZ1Z/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_cdEJFb0K98F08

In the reviews, there's been a decent amount of claims about the internal beads coming out, but I don't know if this means that the roller is bad or it's just a fluke thing that happens. Is this brand and roller a good one or is there a different brand or roller that I should be looking at instead?

I have never foam rolled before, so all suggestions/tips are welcomed.

    Thank you!
