- Hi
- Isn't it weird to feel your head touch your leg?
- Closest yet: but still not ! Two years ago I was about 8 or 9 in. when I began training for flexibility. I still haven't gotten to touch both feet to my head .. Any drills, anyone ?
- A new drill: back leg higher, this helped me a lot, in getting my head closer to both feet (result in next video)
- What's the best position to sit in a chair at a desk?
- I was finally able to do a split after months of stretching, only to loose my splits the very next day.
- hitch in stretching? what is this?
- Hip feeling jammed on a daily basis?
- Pants (male)?

What's the best position to sit in a chair at a desk? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 05:38 PM PDT Recently been having some sciatic pain down my left leg. Had an MRI and it all came back clear, so I feel it's my piriformis. Hopefully. I got a herman miller aeron recently and I'd like to be able to sit in a half lotus while working. Is that good for me? I'm really inflexible at the moment, especially my lower half, so I'd like to make sure I'm in a good position while working. Thanks for any info [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2020 11:30 AM PDT I started doing yoga and working on my splits March of this year. Within five/six months of continuous everyday stretching, I was able to finally do a split. The very next day I wasn't able to repeat it. It's been two months since then and I still haven't been able to do a split again. I stretch everyday, sometimes twice a day, yet I still can't do it again. Each time I stretch my muscles are always sore but I try to push past the pain. What could be the reason for this and how can I get myself to do a split again? Is it possible I'm over doing it by stretching every day? [link] [comments]
hitch in stretching? what is this? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:48 PM PDT Excuse me if this is a bit of a beginner question, but I noticed my body does a specific thing when stretching and wondered if anyone knows the explanation. Here, to be concrete, I do child's pose a lot to try to get over a slightly torn hamstring tendon. And for lack of a better way to describe it, I have a left child's pose and then a right child's pose. When I lean a little left, I crack one way and when I lean a little right, I crack the other way. Almost as if there is a tight string down my back that won't let me sweep left and right smoothly. Same as in a lotus pose. I can push my hip up and down, up and down. It can stretch in two positions but something in between won't let it move smoothly. It does a sort of "lunk" and lands in one of two positions, with the thigh pointing more up or pointing down, but a lot of resistance in between. I'm sure others' bodies have these little spots of resistance depending on injuries and stuff? So what is this basically? Is this normal? How can I find out more and is just a beginner issue that disappears with more regular stretching? So what is this basically? Is this normal? Hip feeling jammed on a daily basis? Posted: 30 Oct 2020 07:00 AM PDT I've just very recently started taking my flexibility training in a serious manner, been hacking away at it for 1.5 months now. I've been noticing my right hip has been constantly jammed since I started working on my flexibility. I can open my left hip really smoothly but the right hip will always get stuck. I'll have to stop and pop my hip before I can even try opening it. A few hours after popping it will get back into its natural 'jammed' state again. My right side is also the side with weaker range of motion, if it means anything. Just wanted to check if this is some kind of rite of passage or if I should raise this to a doctor asap? I don't want to risk damage. Thanks! [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2020 06:43 AM PDT So doing my stretching I've started to be irritated on my pants. Either they get stuck and I have to constantly twist/get them unstack or the seams are riding up into places they shouldn't be. So any tips on pants "made for stretching"? [link] [comments] |
