Pranayama: Newbie question related to breathing and health issues. |
| Newbie question related to breathing and health issues. Posted: 19 Oct 2020 06:31 AM PDT The past few years I've had a bunch of health issues (lung problems, extremely low energy, brain fog,...). I've seen many doctors and specialists, nobody has any idea what is wrong with me. But it is real, and it seriously affects the quality of my life. A while back I learned about the Wim Hof Method. I was skeptical at first, put it off for a while, but eventually gave it a a try. The results were amazing. The second day my energy came back and that whole first week I felt amazing, like I hadn't felt in a long time. I was blown away with the effects of this simple breathing exercise. But, ... my tinnitus became much worse. Turns out the Wim Hof Method can give you tinnitus. My tinnitus is at a level were it doesn't bother me at all, so I definitely don't want to make it worse. I had to quit the Wim Hof Method before the 'new level' of tinnitus became permanent. So here I am, hoping I can find a breathing exercise/routine to replace the Wim Hof Method that can give me similar results. I'm not familiar with this, so I have no idea where to start.
