| Any tips for improving vinyasa flow from chataranga to upward dog? Posted: 25 Nov 2020 12:58 PM PST Just for context, I used to practice ashtanga at a class regularly but I stopped when I moved about 2 years ago. Since then I've kept up my practice at home... Sometimes the primary series, sometimes my own flow, some random classes and YouTube vids. I've recently been called back to ashtanga! Big time!! I have some strength work to do, especially on myy arms, and I was wondering if anyone has tips from improving my chataranga and transition to upward dog. I've never been able to transition smoothly, I have to drop to the floor before pushing upwards. I can't do push ups!! If I practice surya namaskar every day will this help? Or is it better to do some other strength exercises for my arms? Thank you :) [link] [comments] |
