Ashtanga yoga: Pain in the illiac crest region because of Urdhva Dhanurasana |
| Pain in the illiac crest region because of Urdhva Dhanurasana Posted: 08 Nov 2020 04:35 AM PST Hi all, So I've been having this pain on and off in the left illiac crest region (the hard bone just below the waist) by practicing Urdhva Dhanurasana. To investigate the problem I started taking videoes and figured out that my hand position is not aligned. My left hand goes way beyond the line of my right hand and this might be a possible cause. If I continue practicing like this I will reach a point where the pain is so much that I won't be able to lift both my legs straight off the ground from lying down position. Has anybody experienced this kind of pain or got any advice. I have drawn horizontal lines ony mat so that I keep both my hands aligned together. Let's see how that goes, but I do need to take a few days off from Urdhva Dhanurasana before that. [link] [comments] |
