Thank you for the abundance of oxygen molecules that fill my lungs every time I take a breath. Posted: 10 Dec 2020 12:53 PM PST Thank you for the abundance of oxygen molecules that fill my lungs every time I take a breath. Thank you for the life transforming benefits of meditation. Thank you for all the healthy cells that make up my eyes that are working in harmony with each other, so I can see and participate in the world. Thank you for all the healthy nerves in my skin that are working so well. Allowing me to feel the breeze and sun on my skin and experience the sense of touch. Thank you for my tongue and taste buds that give me the ability to talk, taste and enjoy food. Thank you for the English language and the ability to read and write. Thank you for my hands and fingers that work very well and help me do so many things every day. Thank you for a strong healthy heart that circulates all the blood in my body very well. Thank you for the abundance of fresh clean water I have access to, to drink and bathe with. Thank you for the technology of telephones and cell phones that allow me to talk to people across oceans thousands of miles away. That is pretty amazing! [link] [comments]
Gratitude - Secret to happiness and contentment Posted: 10 Dec 2020 08:23 AM PST Gratitude is a beautiful emotion, and the secret to contentment. Recently, I heard this beautiful short story on gratitude, from Nithya Shanti, and it made me reflect and read more about it. First, the short story which I heard, which is paraphrased below: A friend asked me, "If we take a glass of water, and put a big spoon of salt in this glass of water, would you be able to drink it?" When you focus on that which is right in your life, you will realize there is so much more of all that which is great in your life, that you ought to be happy. When we look at the big picture or put things in the larger perspective, we often find that whatever we are complaining of, or our mind wants to complain about, is really not much. What if you were thankful for your life, every single second of your life. Would you be more focused and enjoy it more? Try a 24-hour-Gratitude practice, to see how it feels, and if it changes you in a good way. In this practice, at every possible opportunity, you try to remind yourself that you are thankful for what you have.Whatever your path, if you accept adversities, and still remain grateful, you will be content and happy. You might ask, "What if it is really bad, and I am in the most dire state?" There is always something to be grateful for. As my teacher says "Gratitude is not dependent on the magnitude of materiality, it is not dependent on what all you must have, but simply a state of mind, an expression of the heart, a commitment to tolerance, a resolution to be happy, a feeling of peace, a sense of contentment, an emotion of fulfilment."[link] [comments]

| What are the other peices of the puzzle Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:58 PM PST It's hardly not a fact that most people who come to meditation come with the idea of "controlling thoughts and feelings" I know now that I can't do that, and in reality it would suck if I could control them. But for those seeking that feeling of contentment and happiness, living life to the fullest. I am aiming for that, that's when I realized meditation will only help my mindset as much as it can, it isn't the full solution. After days I think I got a decent amount of things that all people should do, things that proven scientifically that it works on making you satisfied, it's not all the pieces but it is a lot of it.
I think if someone have these things their mental health will skyrocket, but I can't help but feel there is more, does anyone have peices that changed their lives, because I would like to hear everyone opinion [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 10 Dec 2020 05:43 PM PST Huge global Age of Aqurius activation meditation on december 21st – calling for 144.000+ Lightworkers!! Hey guys! This is probably one of the biggest and most important mass meditations we will ever participate in (and I'm not exaggerating)! 😁 💫 This year we've reached the critical mass of 144.000 meditators three times already (on April 4th we were over 1 million!) and this time it will be even more epic: To get you hyped (promotional videos in 35+ languages): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xHPqbbOv-Q4&list=PL-ujIE4tLGbEHUjX1OtRKqECHDr9OfHVv 💫 The very rare astrological constellations* on this day herald the beginning of the new Age of Aquarius (yes, the one the hippies sang about ;) - which marks another important milestone on our transition into unity consciousness – our shift from 3D to 5D! 💫 So only a few hours after the Winter Solstice on the 21st, we will all come together in unity at the exact time of the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction (6:22 pm UTC) to anchor the light an the new aquarian energies here on earth and co-create the trigger that will lead us in the Age of Aquarius. With our loving intent and our collective focus, we will create a strong wave of love/light energy, that will flow through us to mother earth and will greatly help harmonize the conditions here on earth and also infuse the leyline grid of gaia with much needed light and goddess energy.*² 💫 Please share this far and wide! Imagine the power of hundred of thousands awakened souls uniting in love expressing their collective wish to manifest freedom, peace and abundance for all humanity! If you know anyting about the mechanics of consciousness, you know that such a meditation truly has great power to it and the potential to shift the collective into the most positive ascension timeline possible - and never has there been a greater number of awakened people on this earth than now! So lets do this! 😁 💫 Lets make this meditation the biggest act of love and unity this world has ever seen to transmute duality into oneness and darkness into light! 💖 Thank you all! 🤗 Important Links: Guided Audio playlist (in 35+ languages): Exact time and date for your timezone: More infos on the „We Love Mass Meditations" page: *The great Jupiter Saturn conjunction on December 21st is the first great conjunction in Aquarius since 1405, and it is happening exactly on the day of the winter solstice! It is also the closest great conjunction since 1623: Jupiter and Saturn will be so close together that you will almost see them as a single star. The first „Christmas-Star" in 400 years!! *² on that day especially the Paris goddess vortex will get a huge upgrade since the conjunction is exactly above it, but the whole leyline grid as well as all energy vortexes around the world will greatly profit from this huge influx of light, too! | Posted: 11 Dec 2020 02:46 AM PST Hello everyone, I have been meditating for a year, and reading the internet everyone says that the most important thing is breathing. The opposite happens to me, once I manage to relax 100% my breathing becomes less and less constant, I even get to take small inhalations and exhalations. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 08:28 PM PST Addicted is not the right word but when I started meditation I couldn't sit still for more then a few minutes however last night I did my first 30 minute meditation and I loved it. The calm and relaxed feeling is something that can't really be described. I find now I look for reasons in my day to be mindful and bring my attention to my breath and the present moment. I almost crave the feeling now and looking forward to my meditation every day! [link] [comments]
Recommendations for loving-kindness meditation focusing on loving oneself Posted: 10 Dec 2020 11:34 PM PST I started practicing loving-kindness meditation more regularly recently (I usually use Jack Kornfield's guided meditations) and while it's a great way to feel a sense of connection and love towards others, I notice that it's much harder for me to "aim" those feelings towards myself, and loving myself (and forgiving myself) is something I'd really like to work on more. Do you have any recommendations for loving-kindness meditation with a greater focus on feeling love and kindness towards oneself? [link] [comments]

Posted: 10 Dec 2020 01:13 PM PST Ive been doing sessions of 20-30 minutes for over 100 days now . One major change that I noticed now is so how much empathetic I am towards others. This was not the case before, I did have empathy for certain things and I didn't have for some others. However that empathy was very low. I have a family member who goes through horrible symptoms of a mental illness and my empathy for them was near to zero. I cared about them but could never feel bad or sad understanding their situation. I also had a hard time understanding and relating with the sorrows of other people. I feel much much more empathetic now . For some time I wasn't okay with this new change. I wanted my old self back where I was not concerned about emotions and others feelings but now I appreciate it a lot and realize how much change in perspective this gives us. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 11:05 PM PST Has anyone ever been meditating deeply and then all of a sudden you get a jolt through your whole body and grasp for air as your eyes open? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:54 PM PST I've been grieving the loss of a family member for little over a month. Can meditation be a good way of navigating through this? I'm not dealing too well. [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 11:56 PM PST Can someone provide me a brief guide to doing Anapanasati? How is basic Anapanasati different from more advanced forms? How long is enough? Should I have a time goal? I am trying to grow my ability to focus my monkey mind and willing to do long stretches. But how long is a long stretch? Does Anapanasati tame the monkey mind? The pandemic has made it worse with most of my time spent thinking of the past, future, possible scenarios. [link] [comments]
What is this state? Am I finally there? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 07:38 PM PST I have ADHD and have been meditating for around 3 years now. It wasn't until a few months ago that I started to truly commit to meditation after a few brief spurts of that feeling.. I recently (meaning the last 2 weeks) have been getting into this very altered state of mind that when I focus purely on my breath and relaxing my whole body, I can't describe it. Like I'm. Like euphoria? Idk it's very strange and now I can do it every time and everything's just clicking so much it's crazy. Is this the true meditative headspace? Have I arrived? Or is the fun just beginning? Also how long til this stops feeling so good. As right now it's a novel feeling? Edit: I've been getting so in the moment I'm realizing thoughts don't always need to be thought through words, and it cuts a lot of time and effort to not think with words. Everything is me and I am everything. The moment takes no effort to be a part of and it's the only thing that's true. [link] [comments]
Disappointed After 5 Hour Meditation? Posted: 10 Dec 2020 11:04 PM PST I just meditated to music for 5 hours and yet don't feel particularly different than when I started. Normally I only meditate for 10-20 mins per day, with the occasional hour long session thrown in, so this 5 hour meditation is kind of an amazingly unexpected breakthrough. And yet all it felt like is relaxing fast travel, in that the 5 hours went by much faster than expected. Part of me imagines, what if I went on a meditation retreat and the same thing happened? I wouldn't know what to think of meditation anymore. [link] [comments]

Sometimes I Get so mad at myself during meditation Posted: 10 Dec 2020 08:46 PM PST I've been meditating for 9 months and I'm usually good at accepting that my mind wanders or that my body can be tense. I end up finding ways to just go with it and relax. But there are still times when I get so frustrated with myself because I can't concentrate. I try to understand the anger but it just becomes too much and I become tense. Then I feel defeated. I love meditating because it helped me get out of my depression. I've confronted many moments/beliefs I thought would get me in the end. I still have a lot of learning to do so I was hoping for some advice. These moments really get me down and I feel like a failure, which I know is silly, but I just feel so much tension within myself. Any advice for a novice meditator? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 10:32 PM PST I've been reading about how meditation can lower blood pressure. Can anyone tell me how long and how often to meditate to do this, and how long before results are seen? [link] [comments]
Posted: 10 Dec 2020 02:32 PM PST Those who have meditation present in their mind on a daily basis but never seem to get around to it... why? What are you waiting for? You know it's the right thing to do. I have experienced this mindset myself and would encourage others to stop waiting and simply just meditate. Do not wait for a perfect moment to meditate. Perfectionism is what holds a lot of us back from engaging in this practice. If you want, do share what inhibits you from being consistent and willing to meditate. It may help others gain insight and overcome this problem. [link] [comments]
Weird tickling sensation in lower right back that travels up when I meditate Posted: 10 Dec 2020 09:52 PM PST This is EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE and has been like this since I was a kid. I'd have to keep moving to get rid of it. Every time I focus on it and try to remove it the feeling gets worse and more extreme. Will take any and all answers I really need this issue solved and I'm starting to think I'm the only person in the world with this problem. [link] [comments]
