Get I filter so I see less comps? Posted: 26 Dec 2020 04:24 PM PST I love seeing comps, but I sometimes feel like that's all I see. I prefer to see information on certain poses. Is there a way to filter? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 26 Dec 2020 02:39 PM PST Hey Yogis I'm kinda new to yoga and currently I am working on flexibility. After a certain pose I often have severe pain so I wonder if I am doing anything wrong, that's why I look for help or advise. Let me try to describe to pose: I do a variation of the butterfly pose where I put my arms under my legs so that they lay on the ground and my hands grap my feet. So I can pull my upper body down and lay on my tighs. I always hold that pose for a few breath and then try to go a bit deeper. While I do that I feel perfectly fine and there is no pain but when I release and go to standing or laying I have severe pain in my lower back for like 5 minutes. I wonder if it is just because my lower back isn't used to that stretch? Maybe I should do a bit less of a stretch? What are your thoughts about this? [link] [comments] |

What does yoga mean in the spiritual dimension of life? Posted: 26 Dec 2020 05:15 AM PST The true meaning of yoga in the spiritual dimension comes from the word Yuj which means Union. It is the union of the Spirit or the Soul with the Divine. Unfortunately it has been manipulated and misrepresented as union of body, mind and Spirit and therefore it confuses all of humanity. The spiritual definition of yoga is the ability for one to live as a yogi, one who is in constant connection with God. Imagine a good SIM card that is constantly connected with its satellite without being interrupted - such is the need or the goal of yoga. Unfortunately due to our body, our mind and ego, we are constantly disconnected from the Divine and our yoga is disrupted, but this is the true meaning of yoga. [link] [comments] |
lifeforme mats — worth the hype? Posted: 26 Dec 2020 10:16 AM PST I've been contemplating buying one for like, two years (lol) and could never bring myself to do it, but now I'm like...you know what? I have some money from the holidays, maybe I'll treat myself! Worth the hype? Are there other yoga mats you recommend? Right now I'm practicing with a lulu mat that I love. I have two other lulu mats that I slip and slide on a bit, so I'm looking for something with better grip! Happy holidays everyone xo [link] [comments] |
Questions regarding chakras and awakening Posted: 26 Dec 2020 08:25 AM PST Hi! I have a few questions regarding chakras, which I couldn't find answered on this sub.
3.While trying to find my answers on this sub, I came across a post where someone activated his anja (??) - can't remember the name properly-- chakra and experienced some negative effects. Or someone that had a kundalini awakening etc. Is it possible that something like this can happen to me while I do yin yoga or Vin to Yin yoga for the chakra's? Although I already have experience with my intuition being very developed and eg thinking of someone and this someone calling me a minute later and such, I wouldn't want to have any spiritual side effects or similar experiences. Thanks a lot. [link] [comments] |

Wondering how to learn more complicated yoga poses Posted: 25 Dec 2020 02:32 AM PST Hi everyone, Basically I want to start doing yoga more often and already follow many yoga videos on youtube like yoga with adriene, however her youtube videos don't really seem to be for people wanting to learn more poses that are also more complicated such as a head stand and I was wondering how all you learn new poses and practice more complicated ones. Are there any YouTube channels, online courses you can recommend or do you just search up tutorials for one specific pose and just make your own yoga plan? Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you. [link] [comments] |
