Ashtanga yoga: Injury practices |

I'm mostly interested in what you do when your injuries severely limit your asana: broken legs, spinal injuries, etc. Maybe you can limp through the daily minimum, but that's it. One friend swore by sitting for 30-60 min with bandhas engaged; another, who had a broken leg, used recovery time to learn how to lift up and swing back (but not land the full jump-back, obviously). In addition to rest, diet, etc., what do you do instead of your usual asana practice, either to help recovery or to explore the body/mind/spirit? [link] [comments] |
