    Stretching everyday

    Posted: 29 Jan 2021 01:02 AM PST

Hi I wanted to know if it's a good idea to stretch everyday. A lot of my muscles are really tight and I want to begin to loosen them up, so I was wondering if it's safe to stretch them everyday or should I rest them for a day?

Tips for Getting the Splits Right?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 07:24 PM PST

It's almost been 2 week since I started stretching and my goal is to get the splits by the end of the year (or at least close to it). A few days ago, I started feeling a bit of pain by my hip and sometimes under my knee when doing the stretches/splits on my left leg. I have started to take it a bit easier on that side but I still feel it. Any suggestions on what I could do? (I would like to be able to continue stretching if possible).

Another thing, on some days I can't go as far down as I could the previous day(s), is this normal? And how do I make sure my hips are squared?

The simple way to stretch every day.

The simple way to stretch every day.

    Hey everyone!

We just launched a super simple (and 100% FREE) mobility app called Bend for iOS on the App Store.

Choose from three different stretch routines depending on your goals:

    • Classic — A simple routine to maintain your body's natural mobility and range of motion. Quick, convenient, and effective. Do it anytime, anywhere, everyday.

    • Pro — A comprehensive routine focused on improving overall flexibility. Move through 20+ stretches targeting key muscles and joints throughout your entire body.

    • Pro XL — An advanced routine covering all major muscle groups and extremities. Movements range in their level of complexity to promote greater flexibility and range of motion.

Easily follow along with custom illustrations and a timer to let you know when it's time to switch sides or go to the next stretch.

Track your progress and build up a streak as extra motivation to stretch each day.

Would love to hear any feedback if you decide to check it out!

    Left Side very tight

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 06:02 PM PST

    Hi All,

The entire left side of my body is extremely tight. When I stretch, the right side will be fine and wanting to stretch further every session, but the left side is always painful, the muscles tremble, and it feels like there is a lot of emotional tension stored up. I get irrationally angry and start to breath hard and feel very overwhelmed whenever the focus is on stretching my left side. Any tips or hints? Should I just back off of it? It just feels so uneven because my right side wants to fly. Thanks!

    Stretching with an ankle sprain?

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 03:32 PM PST

I have a very mild ankle sprain (I've sprained it enough to know what a bad one feels like) and have shut down all my running and strength training. I know rest is key. But I was wondering if I could still move ahead with my flexibility training — including lunges. Would this impede the recovery?

Gardener in need of stretching tips

    Posted: 28 Jan 2021 10:04 AM PST

I've just joined this group as I'm slowly realising I need to start stretching. I'm a landscape gardener so I'm doing physical work every day. I'm looking for a simple stretching routine I could do in the morning and one for after work.

Any links to routines or tips will be greatly appreciated!

We enjoy things when we are exploring them. Remember excitement of visiting new place or new beach. Such is nature of Yoga. Explore it to enjoy it. See it as a journey. Not as a destination where you reach just to get bountiful benefits. Benefits will come though when exploration will be true.
