| The curse of the lower back pain in backbends Posted: 04 Jan 2021 08:52 PM PST Hello, I am having a problem with my backbends. When I get in my backbend I get a crunchy feeling in my lower back and when I get out of my backbend my lower back hurts. This crunchy feeling happens in my contortion handstand, in cheststand and in every backbending activity. If you guys have any exercises I can do to improve my backbend I would help a lot. I hope you guys can help me because I want to be a contortionist but this lower back crunchy feeling follows me in every move I do. Thanks a lot, :) [link] [comments] | ||
| Why do these two hamstring stretches work so well? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 11:12 PM PST Starting at about 4 minutes, this chiropractor demonstrates two stretches - one raising your toes, the next raising your heel. This stretch has been a game changer for my hamstring flexibility. Why are these stretches more effective than just a typical stretch without the toe or heel raise? [link] [comments] | ||

| Is sitting cross legged all day bad for my hips? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 11:35 AM PST Hey all. I'm a teacher currently working from home and I find I'm most comfortable sitting criss cross in front of my computer as opposed to a normal seated position. I've had really tight hips for the last few years and I'm just wondering if sitting like this is making it worse? I'm trying to stretch it out at the end of my day with pigeon pose and other hip openers but I'm still pretty tight. Could it be from sitting cross legged all day? If so, what are some ways to help? | Extremely stiff person, can I ever become flexible? Posted: 04 Jan 2021 12:48 PM PST Hello there, I'm a 25 years old male and extremely stiff. Like EXTREMELY stiff. I can't sit cross legged for example. I can't even do the basic things (90/90, 'bretzel', etc.) My arms and legs go numb immediately. Will my nerves stretch too? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 04 Jan 2021 09:02 AM PST Trying to get my splits, and becoming flexible in general. I stretch for about 40 minutes (10 minutes on legs, 10 minutes targeting hamstrings, 5 minutes shoulders and 10 minutes back) every morning, and ten minutes full body stretch before I go to sleep. I weight lift/do cardio in the afternoon. Is this efficient? Also, bonus question.. I have just started doing back flexibility stretches.. But I have mild scoliosis. Is there any hope of me getting a flexible back? [link] [comments] | ||
