    Back Mobility

    Posted: 22 Feb 2021 01:33 AM PST

I have been trying to improve my backbends, but after going a certain depth my lower back starts pinching. What should I concentrate on now? Body part, mobility drills, etc.

I'm really confused when it comes to backbending. I feel like a lot of things go into it but I don't exactly know how to work on them. A guidance would be much preferred. Thank you :)

    Backbending progress

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 05:08 PM PST

    Hello everyone,

I posted here before asking advice about back bends and today I reached my goal of grabbing my ankles in camel pose. My wheel pose also improved greatly. I thought I would reach out today to thank you for your support. Also, what do you think my next goal should be with this? Any routines you would recommend? I am a male, mid 30s, very flexible hips and legs. Trying to get my upper back to get there too. Thank you once more :)

    back/shoulder flexibility/bridge routines and resources?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 08:15 PM PST

Hey all, not sure if I missed it on the "Not sure where to start" post, but I was wondering if folks have recommendations for resources to consult when getting started with working on back and shoulder flexibility? My hope is to be able to do bridges/back bends in the future (and maybe more!). Thank you so much in advance! :)

Is it bad to stretch and work out everyday?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 11:47 AM PST

Everyday I workout for about 20 minutes doing mainly ab work outs and work outs for the glutes. I then stretch for about 30 mins to 1 hour. Many of my stretches are intermediate yoga poses as I like to remain flexible. I recently noticed my muscles feeling sore and tense. I'm thinking perhaps I'm pushing my body too much and that I need a few rest days in case my muscles requires some time to repair and gain elasticity. Is it bad to stretch and work out everyday? If so, how often should you stretch and work out each week? Thanks!

Pain after stretching, help? Did I overstretch?

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 04:46 PM PST

I finally managed to do the splits the other day, and with no pain at all.

However, I noticed that when I was done, I had a bit of soreness on my leg. After cooling down I realized that even the most basic stretches were hurting my sore muscle. I was wondering if I have damaged it? Will I ever be able to do the splits again? It has been days and my sore muscle is still there.

It is not very painful, but I can't stretch at all, help? Has anyone faced this problem?

    Hip blocked on left side

    Posted: 21 Feb 2021 08:08 AM PST

When bringing my knees to chest while laying back on floor my left side seems to be blocked and cannot move past a certain point or move straight without noticeable pain. The right side has not problems and seem much more open.
It is also a problem when squatting and mean i must take a wider stance or turn the left knee out more.

Does anyone have any suggestions for flexibility routines or stretches that could help this issue?
