    Problems bringing knees to chest

    Posted: 06 Feb 2021 04:25 AM PST

I have no trouble doing a butterfly position with my knees to the floor and bending forward in this pose, so I wouldn't say that my hip region is very tight. When I try to do positions like apanasana or child's pose, I simply cannot bring my knees to my chest but I feel no tightness whatsoever. It literally feels like my hip bones are stabbing my upper legs thus preventing me to go any further. Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Is it too late for me to learn how to do the front splits?

Ive done some basic gymnastics when I was a child. But as someone who is almost 30, I tried to see where I was at. I'm current about 8.5 - 9 inches off the ground.

My feet and knee are unaligned, has anyone felt with this and have any tips to fix it? Been trying to correct it for months with outer hips exercises and feet ones but still to no avail.

Dull groin pain during half splits and middle splits

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 05:28 AM PST

I have been experiencing this kind of pain for quite some time. I took two weeks rest from streching, but the pain still persists. Any tips how to get rid of the groin pain?

Hip flexor tension during middle splits. Is this ok? How do I make them more comfortable?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 02:33 PM PST

When I'm working middle splits and pancakes, i can feel my hip flexors working hard. I definitely feel those muscles tensing and after an hour of middle/pancake focused flexibility they feel really tight. Not like an injury! Just like I've been flexing that muscle for an extended period of time.

Is this normal? Does this mean I should be doing extra work to make my hip flexors stronger? It's not painful, just a bit uncomfortable. Easily remedied with a bit of lunges

Six foot drills help with flexibility ?

    Posted: 05 Feb 2021 04:25 AM PST

    Hey

So I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this. I hurt my knee last year and started to work on mobility of my ankles as I never really thought about how much they can affect the knees. I started doing six foot drills as part of my physio and I love them. I have two questions

    1) is it okay to do them everyday ? Or is that unnecessary/excessive

    2) can I do them when I wake up ? Sometimes I forget to fit them in so it would be great if I could fit them in before I go to work

    3) has anyone that does them noticed it's helped with ankle flexibility/dorsiflexion?

    Thanks !
