| Great mat for Ashtanga Vinyasa. Posted: 05 Mar 2021 08:19 PM PST After research mats for 4 years I found that. Apparently the liforme is what all the teachers have. has a unique grip surface.stays grippy when wet. I have been using a cotton mat for the last 10 years The Manduka black pro is not made for Ashtanga vinyasa even after 3 rounds of salt/sun application and 9 months wearing in it's still too slippy ashtanga but is perfect for slow Hatha and restorative Yoga. My cotton mat cost me £15 and has served me well, it originally was infused with wonderfull scent of Ayurvedic herbs. The yoga design Lab mat is a good choice for ashtanga and is made with sweaty vinyasa in mind. I am an average lad at 5"11 and with that liforme did a bigger mat, my idea may be to buy 2 mats and p=ut them side by side, I have the room to do this, infact I may have one already from years ago that was given to me, its somewhere in the shed. | Posted: 05 Mar 2021 07:24 AM PST I'm new to engaging the bandhas (and find when I do so, my practice is much stronger) but find that I mess up my breathing rhythm. Are there some ground rules I should know so I don't hold my breath/use short exhales/ shallow inhales when actively trying to engage bandhas? [link] [comments] |
