Tips for lifting in Karandavāsana? Posted: 22 Mar 2021 08:24 PM PDT I received this pose about a month ago and although I know how to lower down with control - the biggest thing for most people, myself included, is being able to lift back up. Right now, I don't know how to press into Pincha Mayūrāsana so this is something that I've started working on outside of practice. I have a feeling that being able to press can help shed light on the mechanism of how to lift but even that movement has me a bit stumped since I think I need to develop more hamstring flexibility/strength. The strange thing is that, even with the hamstring factor I think I have the basic strength and flexibility elements to lift back up but my body has yet to understand those mechanics. So I thought to turn here and ask those of you that can lift back up into Karandavāsana, what were some "aha" moments for you? [link] [comments] |
