Pranayama: Subtle Improvements with Breathing Exercises |
Subtle Improvements with Breathing Exercises Posted: 07 Nov 2020 02:07 PM PST So, in May my blood level of vitamin D3 was 147 ng/mL. This is pretty high. This was after a couple of months of 50,000 IUs of vitamin D daily and sunbathing daily. Then just a few days ago, it measured at 206 ng/mL. That is really, really high. What happened? I was taking exactly the same amount and doing a little less sunbathing because of the fall weather. What happened was that between May and October I started doing breathing exercises. My whole excuse for taking so much vitamin D3 is that older people (I'm 75) assimilate vitamin D3 in their diets less well than younger folk. The breathing exercises made my ability to assimilate vitamin D3 better than it was in May. Directly speaking my breathing exercises did no such thing. What the breathing exercises did was to enhance my capacity to heal, and this enhanced capacity to heal healed my ageing gut. That is amazing and wonderful. [link] [comments] |
