Just realized the advantage of having hyper flexibility

I know stuff like that is way less impressive than posting splits or pancakes, but the most benefits I got were always from the most simple exercises. Triangle-pose is one of them and a staple in my routine.

    Making splits comfortable?

    Posted: 26 Apr 2021 03:10 AM PDT

Hey all. I got a flat split and hit touchdown about 2 months ago (wooo and at the age of 27). I stretch 2-3 times a week and rest in between or do a very light yoga stretch. Sitting in a split is still uncomfortable and I still can't hit touchdown any quicker, it takes a little over an hour of active flex. I am training oversplits now. Does anyone have any other tips that would help make sitting in a split more comfortable and any tips to cut down on the stretching time to like 45 minutes?

A quick question about my routine

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 06:46 PM PDT

My current fitness routine involves a really short full body workout and splits training wich involves a lot of hamstring stretching. I also want to include some abs training.

Should I do the abs training before or after the splits training???

I do my routine everyday with some rest days in my splits training

Which muscle group do I have to stretch more to do higher developpe?

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 12:18 PM PDT

    Hi,

I have a decent amount of hamstring flexibility, and I have my front splits, but I can't seem to lift my leg higher than 90-degree in the developpe position. What am I doing wrong? Which muscle do I need to stretch more to get my legs higher? If you guys could please share with me some good stretching routines would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Just not improving

    Posted: 25 Apr 2021 11:32 AM PDT

I've been stretching near or less overt day for about a year. I started training Muay Thai and wanted it to help me reach more with my kicks.

I've seen very little improvement in my eyes, I can't reach my feet with straight legs and can hardly reach my knees as an example!

I'm 43 in June.. is there any hope for me, should I even be using touching my toes as a marker? Ideally I'd love to kick head height 😂

Should I stretch the areas that I weight train on the same day?

    Posted: 24 Apr 2021 05:42 AM PDT

My routine is warm up (5 mins), weights (45 mins), cardio (15 mins), stretch (45 mins) daily.

I'm getting into deep stretches and I need rest days (achey/tight hips). Wondering if I should be e.g. stretching hamstrings/hips/calves on leg day then resting completely or alternating e.g. leg day followed by back stretches then the next day back/bis and then leg stretches.

Hope that makes sense. All advice welcome. Cheers
