- Hi everyone, I recently put together a pdf guide to help increase flexibility. If you would like a copy I'll leave a link below where you can access it. It's a 5-day plan of 10-15 minutes of stretching a day, repeated for a total of 4 weeks. I hope you find it helpful!

I can't feel any stretches on my back what should I do? Posted: 19 May 2021 03:48 AM PDT No stretches I know stretch my back enough for me to feel it. I have always been very flexible and I also have hyper mobile joints and can bend back enough to touch my head with my bum. I'm trying to build muscle and do stretches because I have a lot of back pain and some deterioration in my joints, but none of the stretches feel like anything. I'm 18 and have never really worked out or done stretches before, and I only started now because doctors recommended it to me. I don't know what to do. Do I need to build muscle before I can feel stretches? [link] [comments]

Posted: 18 May 2021 08:56 PM PDT So, I've been dealing with knee pain in my left knee now for about 2 years. I've been to multiple physiotherapists and strengthening never really seems to help my knee pain much. The only thing I've noticed is that if I lay down and press the back of my kneecap to the floor with my fingers behind them, only my right knee touches my fingers. My left knee remains quite high still and the bottom of my kneecap aches if I try to get it lower. This is tight hamstrings? Or what else could be causing this? What kind of stretches should I be doing to improve this? Any help would be much appreciated. Honestly, my physiotherapists that I've seen are not helping and don't seem to want to listen to me regarding my pain. [link] [comments]
How can I get the splits cold?(without a warm up) Posted: 18 May 2021 11:15 AM PDT Hello, I have had my middle splits for about 2 months now and was wondering how I can train to do them cold. Any tips? [link] [comments]

Why is there no flexibility training in the military? Posted: 18 May 2021 08:25 AM PDT From the various military fitness tests and programs I've seen, almost everything is cardio and strength. Is there a reason they don't include flexibility training? With the amount of stress their body is put under, surely some stretching can help relieve injuries. [link] [comments]
Stretching Hamstring Stretches opposite Hip Flexor Posted: 18 May 2021 06:29 AM PDT Hello, When I lift my leg in front of me, I feel a stretch in the lifted leg's hamstring but also in the hip flexor of the leg on the ground. In addition, I can't keep my grounded leg pointed forward, my toes end up pointing about 45 degrees outward. I experience the same thing on both sides. My question is I guess, what's going on here? I don't understand why lifting one leg causes (hip extension?) of the other side. In addition, does this have any implications for where/how I should stretch? My initial take away is that both my hamstrings and hip flexors are likely tight, but any other insights would be appreciated! [link] [comments]

Shoulder dislocations with a too narrow grip? Posted: 17 May 2021 10:13 AM PDT I've been told that stick shoulder dislocations shouldn't be done with a grip more narrow than 1.5 shoulder widths or so, or they might injure the elbow. But I don't understand what exactly can go wrong. I'm a bit hypermobile and can do them at shoulder width easily. It certainly doesn't feel good, but I'm unsure why. [link] [comments] |
