The hype with manduka mats is legit!

    Posted: 30 May 2021 07:12 PM PDT

I finally bit the bullet and got one. And oh my God im in love. Its SO GRIPPY. Even when I drench it sweet during my hot practice. I feel so much more confident to go deeper in poses knowing for sure im not gonna slip and hurt myself. I held out for a long time because I didn't know if they were really worth the money. But now I can confidently say they tottally are.

Feet up prop review for a broken collarbone years ago

    Posted: 30 May 2021 03:23 PM PDT

Hi everyone, it's my first time posting here, so I don't know if it's the right place to do it. Anyways, twelve years ago, when I was 17 I broke my right collarbone trying to do a headstand in gymnastics class (I was never able to do it). Five years ago, I discovered Yoga and since then, I rediscovered the joy of exercise. I considered myself a basic/intermediate yogi but I don't have a lot of arm/wrist strength. So, recently while searching on the internet, I discovered this feet up prop, and it seems to be amazing with people that have difficulties with headstands. I really wanted to try it and overcome my fear, but I don't know if the strength is focused on the shoulder or collarbone part when we touch the feet up cushion. Can someone tell me if this prop is safe for people with different collarbone? Because, since the accident, my right one is a little different in height than the other. I can do all types of exercises but I never tried this. Thank you!

    Pregnant yoga ideas?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 05:07 PM PDT

First time posting here. I took classes during college and recently really got back into yoga since COVID19 had me peeling paint off the walls with boredom. I can't do my usual flows with my belly (I'm 17 weeks so about 4 months along) and I'm not strong enough yet to do a lot of advanced positions but still want to continue practicing. I'm used to ashtanga and vinyasa but I'm always open to anything that avoids the belly. Any suggestions or links to ideas? Thanks! Excited to have stumbled on this sub.

But Today Morning was completely different, when I was in deep meditation I saw from a Hill top the bright Sun is rising. I can Only see the half of that bright sun but was delighted by the rays.

Have Anyone has experienced it?? And Can anyone explain me what does it mean?

    I Need Book Advices

    Posted: 30 May 2021 01:43 PM PDT

Hi everyone, I have been searching some books about yoga to understand it better and I was wondering if there is a book about daily life actions and advices for them in a yogic perspective. For example when to wake up? When to sleep? How to sleep? How to eat? What to eat? How to drink? What to drink? How to sit? How to walk etc. I would be appreciated if you can help me. Namaste!

    Navel piercing and daily practice

    Posted: 30 May 2021 11:12 AM PDT

Does anyone have a navel piercing and does it affect your practice? I was about to get one but stopped to consider how it may mean I have to take time off yoga / restrict movement when I practice. I do vinyasa pretty much every day for at least 30 mins and have been doing for nearly 10 years. Qualified to teach and would say I'm an advanced student at this point, pretty flexible. Thank you yogis 🦋

Do you do yoga before or after a HIIT/cardio session?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 06:35 AM PDT

As mentioned above, do you do yoga before or after another form of exercise if you are doing them in the morning or evening? Which order do you find is better? Also, how long are your yoga sessions if you pair them up with other forms of exercise?
