    Holding a squat with a rounded back?

    So I'm incorporating holding a deep squat position into my flexibility routine. I hear in videos: "if you can't get into a deep squat you might need to put books or something below your heels to elevate them". The thing is that I can get into The position and hold it, but my back is very rounded. I know that can be bad when you're also loading with weight, but should i just keep going with this position even though my back is very rounded in it?

    So basically i wanna get flexible for general and martial art purposes. I have few questions. I already have a full body stretching plan from this very reddit but in the future would i need to do very specific stretching for different parts of my body for like doing splits and advanced stuff or a full body plan would do?

    Deadlifting double body weight as prerequisite for leg extensions?

    I am reading "Stretching Scientifically" and found this quote:

    (Chapter 4)

    Caution: In the case of holding leg extensions, you must have a strong lower back. My rule of thumb for back strength is lifting comfortably - without psyching up and teeth grinding - at least twice your body weight in the deadlift. If you consider this excessive you are welcome to learn from your own experience.

    What do people feel about this?

    I am not yet at that level, and judging by Strength standards that is somewhere between "intermediate" and "advanced".

    If I do leg extensions will I injure my back?

    Are other people here deadlifting at that level?

    Are people naturally gifted when it comes to flexibility or is everyone equal, like me i can almost lay my pinky finger flat on the back of my hand. Could a normal person achieve something like this with time and effort or was i just born extra bendy?

    A question

    Hello I hope everyone's doing great. I have been stretching my middle split for 2 years and yet didn't reach the floor. However, these days when I do some stretches for my inner thighs, I feel such soreness in it, along my whole thigh, it's like they're so tense to the point that if I stretch it more it will get cut lol, it's like feeling of electricity. Tho I never get injured in inner thighs, I just have an injury in the top of my hamstrings which is got healed. Anybody knows how to get over this? And thanks a lot
