What's this yoga pose called? (in Eminem Without Me video)

Yoga was designed to be practiced naked

    Posted: 07 Jun 2021 04:40 PM PDT

I never had tried it before a few days ago, and I got to say... not only is it a liberating feeling, I definitely practice the poses more efficiently.

Any clothing is going to affect the way you move, even the most expensive yoga pants.

I see now what the most hardcore sadhus practice it this way (or simply a loincloth).

It's amazing to discover this side of yoga, after years of never trying it.

I guess if you're in a class... well... that's your call.

Had a thought during a forward fold today...I swear sometimes during folds these little guys are going up and down my spine. Anyone else?

    Legs fall asleep in Sukhasana

    Posted: 07 Jun 2021 07:13 PM PDT

Hello yogis! I love meditating in sukhasana, but every time I reach about ten minutes in the pose, one of my feet or calves falls asleep. For the past few weeks I've tried using a cushion to lift my hips. It's helped my legs to not fall asleep as intensely but they still fall asleep at the same time if that makes sense. Like it won't tingle as aggressively but it still tingles a bit, and always around ten minutes. Are there any adjustments I could make or maybe other poses/stretches I could practice to help me stay in sukhasana longer?

    Handstand against wall?

    Posted: 07 Jun 2021 12:01 PM PDT

Looking for some advice! I want to build my inversion practice and I finally have a free wall to use as support. I'm slightly worried about kicking a hole into the wall though - is this something I should be seriously worried about? Has anyone ever accidentally done that?

Can I end my yoga practice with Shoulder stand -> Pike?

    Posted: 07 Jun 2021 12:54 PM PDT

Currently, I end my yoga practice with a Pike and then I do a seated meditation.

Does anyone know if this is okay, or should I do certain poses after the Pike?

    Favourite flow videos for beginners?

Hello all! My husband has agreed to try yoga (miracle!), and I'd like to get some suggestions!

He's not particularly flexible yet (he's more into weightlifting) but he likes to work up a sweat more than stretch.

Something with minimal chatter would be ideal! Thanks :)

    Learning the Shatkarmas in NYC

    Posted: 06 Jun 2021 09:55 PM PDT

I've practiced Raja yoga for quite a while and have taken an interest in Hatha yoga during the last few months.

Despite spending a good amount of time searching, I have yet to find a school/teacher that mention the shartkarmas, though it could be that my search skills are terrible, ha.

I would appreciate help or guidance from someone here. I'd post this in r/hathayoga but that sub is set to private.
