Is it okay to use a wall to help learn to do Crow? Posted: 12 Jul 2021 11:50 AM PDT My balance isn't quite there yet, but is using a wall to find it not good form? I barely have the tips of my toes on it for what its worth. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 12 Jul 2021 02:48 PM PDT Hey everyone, I'm starting yoga as I really want to improve my balance and flexibility. I'm 28 and never been able to touch my toes without bending my knees. So my question is, when it comes to bended standing poses and poses like warrior 3 and 3 legged dog, do I keep my legs straight and only bend as much as I can, or do I bend my legs and lean into the poses as much as I can? Tips on getting back into yoga after a long break? Posted: 12 Jul 2021 03:08 PM PDT Sorry if the formatting is weird or if this is long, it's my first time posting on Reddit. To preface, I used to be someone who did yoga every day & flexibility training 5 days a week. I did this for about a year and a half, and prior to that I had almost no flexibility/strength whatsoever (couldn't even touch my toes). I had come really far in my journey but earlier this year I had some physical health issues completely depleted my motivation to train. I went about 3 months with no practice whatsoever because I just felt so shitty emotionally & physically. Now, on medication, I'm feeling a lot better & really want to get into yoga again. The thing is, I feel like Ive lost all of the progress I made this past year & a half and now am back to struggling to even hold a forward fold or put my palms to the floor. I'm so discouraged it's really hard to build up the motivation to start back from the beginning again. Any tips on how to ease back into things? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 12 Jul 2021 07:52 AM PDT Hello everyone, I been doing yoga for about a month with a teacher. We covered shoulder stands, modified version against the wall. I'm not doing anything technically wrong but I feel my lower back hurt (or provide some discomfort) after I have released from the posture. However, after I do the counter posture I think it does feel better. Any advice? Should I continuing doing it or strengthen my core first? [link] [comments] |
