For teaching traditional ashtanga yoga, in what order exactly do you teach?

I have been teaching traditional ashtanga yoga but am feeling repetitive and as if I'm missing something entirely. I have been teaching SunA and SunB 5 times each, and then the next few poses in the series, before doing my own sort of closing sequence and than shavasana.

Clearly this is not how traditional ashtanga is meant to be taught. Can someone give advice? And what closing sequence is good for people that cannot do the 'traditional ashtanga closing sequence?' Thank you

    Beginner on Pranayama

    Posted: 11 Aug 2021 06:22 AM PDT

    Hi everyone!

Hope you are all doing well!

I have been practicing yoga since the beginning of the pandemic and ashtanga specifically since last October and so far loving it!

Also been studying some books and done a couple of courses on pranayama but there is something that I find all of these lack; which is on how to set your own routine and make your own practice; how many rounds of this followed by a few rounds of that for X rounds and so on.

I find all courses do an excellent job on explaining the individual techniques but I am a bit lost on how to create your own practice or if there is a specific sequence and/or order of the techniques.

Is there any book/course on how to do so?

Thank you all so much and kind regards!!
