Meditation: The best career advice that I learned is don’t ever attach your-self to a PERSON, a place, a company, an organization or a project. Only Attach your-self to your mission in life and your PURPOSE. That’s how you keep your power and keep your peace!

    Scary meditation experience.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:33 AM PDT

I decided to meditate by my bed at around 1:00am. My room is completely dark and soundless, no clocks or anything and after a while I started seeing this dark plane with blue lines moving like waves and energy. Then all of a sudden i felt my body disappear. It felt like sleep paralysis but I still have control of my body. I felt like I was rising but there was this feeling of pure dread and terror. I started getting emotional as well. I panicked and opened my eyes and felt like I was sucked back into my body. Now I'm scared to meditate again.

    Breathing trick

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 12:23 PM PDT

So i was in the train, and to pass the time i wanted to meditate. Altough sadly its mandatory to wear face masks that limit breathing, so i had a hard time concentrating. Than i tought to myself: what if i would breath in, calmly count to 10 while holding my breath and breath out and than calmly count to 10 while having no breath. This really cleared my head and gave me a very peacefull feeling. Also important is to not panic, and Stay calm.

A thought about the quote "You are the universe experiencing itself".

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:38 PM PDT

I was having this thought lately.

And i was wondering what a universe could be.So i thought that the universe is actually space and time.

Space and time are always around us.There was always space and there was always time. They re present all the time and everywhere. For sure time might be different somewhere else and space too.

In an elevator there's not much space. But it's still there.A year on planet Mercury is consisted of 88 earth days.Time is faster but is still present.

An example from Christianity (i'm sorry if you re not a Christian, but let's see this as a cosmotheory and not as a religion for a moment) is that God is everywhere, anytime. And on top of that, that He lives inside of us. In all of us.

What's the only way to be everywhere and anytime?Isn't that by being space and time? What's common between all of us, except the human body and emotions, is that we live in space and time.

We all age, and we re all somewhere. And if we want to experience time, there should be a start and an end.Hence our physical deaths. If there's no death, we can't experience time.We would be untouchable by it.

Let's visualize a TV.We re watching a documentary, about dinosaurs. We go back in space and time. While watching it, we re thinking how it would feel like to live back then, on that place (earth, same space but differently "decorated"/more nature,no buildings etc.).How would the clean air feel like in the lungs. How would a dinosaur truly sound.

We can only use our imagination to transfer ourselves in that timeline/space.What if we could do it on a physical level?Would you do it?Would you step into that TV like it was a portal to that world and experience the specific space and time first handed?

Dinosaurs sound terrifying, so switch that to whatever you like.Could be ancient Greece,Rome,Sumeria,Egypt,China.

    Edit:Fixing my grammar.

The feeling of wasted time :/

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 06:57 PM PDT

I'm 24 years old turning 25 in August. I'm 1 semester away from graduating with my bachelors, I'm in great shape from training everyday in yoga, mixed martial arts and running and swimming..

But somedays, it's not every day. I get this thought in my head " you're too old to do what you truly want " or "you wasted so much time" ..

And I feel like I get these thoughts sometimes because when I was growing up I was in a 4 year relationship then a 2 1/2 year relationship and I feel like I kinda always put them first, and never really put myself first.. and my most recent relationship ended so terribly.

Now the past year I've been single, deleted all my social media, go to bed early, wake up early, treat others with kindness and respect, run every day, and just trying to get in the best shape mentally and physically. I also removed all my negative friends out my life and went from having 8 friends to 2..

Basically my question is there's a lot I want to do and I'm working towards it right now like ( run a marathon, train mixed martial arts more, get super flexible, become more relaxed and stronger mentally, create a YouTube channel to motivate others and document my hard work ) .. but then I get that negative voice in my head telling me " it's too late , you wasted your early 20's in a relationship, you're getting old "

I'm falling in love with being independent. But it's hard sometimes with these negative thoughts.

    Half lotus HURTS

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:04 PM PDT

everything. I know it's not required for meditation but im also an avid stretcher, and new to it. My ankle bends very far inward when I do it, and this puts strain on it. Also, my inner knee is in pain, but I try to breathe and meditate through it. Groin muscles are also very strained.

Does this sound like something's wrong, or is it merely a progression?

Edit: there is also knee pain the next morning when I run

Does meditation still “work” if I’m thinking the whole time?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 10:56 PM PDT

Like If i can't concentrate at all the entire 20 mins except for small 5-10 sec intervals here and there... are there still benefits attached to doing it or is it kind of pointless if im not concentrating long enough

edit: obviously its not pointless when theres the progression of getting better at meditation but im specifically asking about if benefits like reduced stress/anxiety still take place when being unable to concentrate throughout the whole session

    Why did end up meditating?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 10:31 AM PDT

😊 What brought you to meditation? Because you just wanted to try? To feel less stressed / anxious? To improve your attention? Sleep?...

(just realised I forgot "you" in the title 😅)

    Meditating difficult when tired?

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 01:35 AM PDT

Does anyone notice that when you are kinda tired that you have difficulties to keep attention to a specific item or your breath? I feel like my thoughts are racing after a specific time. Just after a short period of time I do get in a kinda tired, relaxed trance like state where I do have many thoughts in my head and I have issues to focus for a long period of time f.e. on my breath.

After coffee or when I feel mental alert I feel like I can keep my focus for a longer period of time. It's like my prefrontal cortex can work better then. Am I able to keep my attention for a long period of time even when tired when I do meditate regularly?

    About lying.

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 12:45 AM PDT

Hi, I've been meditating for a month now and learning laws of attraction, transurfing these days. Today, I was just so lazy to talk to my girlfriend so I lied to her that I'm sick. As I lied to her, I found myself in small guilt that made me think, "I shouldn't lie". But at the same time, I thought, "it's ok. Lying is ok. Feeling guilty is my ego. Just let it go". Honestly, I don't know how else to think or do in this type of situation.

    Mindfullness question

    Posted: 18 Jun 2020 12:45 AM PDT

Hey there, i recently started meditating to stop me from eating when im bored. I did yesterday and the day before each 5minutes in the morning, ive watched a few tutorials and they keep saying " fpcus on your breath"

So..what does it mean exactly? My inner Dialoge goes like this when i meditate "in.....out.....in....out..." Is that the correct way? Or should there be no inner Dialoge at all? (Thats really hard)

I did both at the same time!

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 07:48 AM PDT

The other day I was meditating and I had a new experience. Usually, when a thought comes into my head I refocus on my breath like they are two different things yet in this meditation it was like a thought came into my head and I realised It was present yet at the same time I kept breathing and focusing on the breath. It was almost like I was working near a highway. I could hear the loud cars going by but I kept working like nothing changed and it was quite nice. that is all :P

Anyone knows of a 1 year solitude retreat?

    Posted: 17 Jun 2020 11:10 PM PDT

I desperately need at least a one year solitude from everything and come back to the world with a brain reset and a fresh outlook. I have found one for around 15,000 USD but I can't afford anything more than 3,500 USD atm and that's really pushing it too. And, I don't want to wait and save for a 1 year or two before I could do it. Am I too naive to think there is a place somewhere in the world that charges this little for solitude?

I wouldn't mind going to a place to clean toilets, cooking and working for a few hours as payment for my stay as well.

When you truly love someone you don't want anything from them. You don't even want them to love you back.

This is the true definition of selfless love.
