Posted: 01 Jul 2020 05:27 AM PDT Whenever I squat feet together I fall backwards. With a wider stance I can squat with knees tracking over toes. What causes this to be so difficult? Anyone have any active stretches that may help? [link] [comments]
Is my back flexibility routine any good? Posted: 01 Jul 2020 04:58 AM PDT My back flexibility routine right now is as follows: Cat-Camel pose Child's pose (balasana) Backbend Any other stretches that will increase back flexibility? Also will my current routine give me any results? [link] [comments]

Sharp pain in hips when stretching: normal? Posted: 30 Jun 2020 09:46 AM PDT Stretching other parts of my body feels "normal". As in there is a stretching feeling, and not much else. Stretching my hips I get that stretching feeling and a feeling of more sharp, cold pain. Sort of like sitting down on a pebble that buries into your ass. I've been doing pigeon pose (though I can't do it very well) and this yoga stretch. The pain feels a bit too intense and like I said different from "normal" stretching but I'm pretty sure I have posterior pelvic tilt which I guess could be a reason? I'm planning on going to a specialist in the future but for now, maybe someone on here can help out? [link] [comments]
Beginner wanting to get full range of motion? Posted: 30 Jun 2020 09:46 AM PDT So im trying to get fit, but i am super not flexible. I cant squat because my thighs are huge, cant reach my toes, and the extent of doing a dplit is still close to just standing up with my legs wide. My arms cant touch my back, i cant put my arms over my head without tucking my head in. You know, im as stiff as a board. I know you guys had resources here but i cant find any for beginners. Any recommendations for me to start? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jun 2020 07:38 AM PDT OK, so I don't know if this is the right place to post this and don't know where I should, but I need some help. Some time last year, I had surgery on my knee somewhere around the kneecap area (can't remember exactly where) because a part of the bone there had chipped off and started moving around till it got stuck between my two main bones there, making it so I can't bend or straighten it properly. I ended up getting surgery where they found the piece and used some bio-disolvable screws or whatever to put it back into place. I waited around two months, and in mid December last year, I was allowed to start to bend my knee again. I did physio therapy and stuff for around 2 to 3 months and saw that after a certain amount, my knee wasn't bending any further so I gave up. Even to this day, I can't bend it past around 80 degrees and I'm starting to get worried and scared that I'll never be able to bend it again.p [link] [comments]
