| Hamstring stretches hurt my knees. Posted: 19 Aug 2020 10:38 PM PDT Hey guys, I know that knee pain behind the knee when stretching hamstrings is pretty common, and normal I guess. But my knees hurt around my knee cap as well as behind my knees. I feel a strong pulling sensation around my knee cap and sharp pain behind the knee. I'm pretty concerned and I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this? Any help is appreciated, thank you! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:40 AM PDT I want to do splits (horizontal and vertical) but in order to actually make a progress I need to strengthen the muscles in my legs first. I am planning to first strenghten the leg muscles for months and then starting to stretch but I have very limited knowledge on exercises that help with that. Is there a good list of exercises with written amount of reps or time duration or something like that? [link] [comments] | ||
| Kicking flexibility and progress so far Posted: 19 Aug 2020 10:57 AM PDT Here's some progress over time in regards to throwing jumping spin hook kicks since I've wanted to be able to get the splitting aesthetic midair. I still have much to work on, but I'm chuffed to have at least made some improvement. [link] [comments] | ||
| could stretching some hours before strength exercises affect my performance on them? Posted: 19 Aug 2020 12:17 PM PDT for example if i do the butcher's stretch (i think thats the name, its for lat, triceps and shoulder overhead mobility) would that affect on overhead presses/pullups done a few hours after? | Preventing knee pain when improving hip internal rotation Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:31 AM PDT Hi all, I am trying to improve the internal rotation of my right hip. I have been doing some 90/90 hip stretches for this purpose. However, the stretch is putting quite some stress on the inside of my right knee during the stretch.. Do you have any recommendations to improve internal hip rotation while preventing knee pain? Perhaps: - Other types of stretches for internal hip rotation? (progression sequence maybe?) - Or a slight modification of the 90/90 stretch to avoid knee pain? - Start with increasing flexibility by doing some active internal rotation exercises instead of just passive bodyweight stretching? All recommendations are welcome - thanks a lot! [link] [comments] | ||
| If you go to a studio/gym to practice flexibility, how much do you pay per month? Posted: 19 Aug 2020 11:16 AM PDT I go to hot yoga studios and I'm studio homeless atm and trying to find my next studio. I'm finding that a lot of the new studios are charging over $130/month unlimited. One even $150/month, that's the highest I've seen. That's insane considering the one I got my YTT from looks very, very similar to the most expensive one, yet they only charged $99/month and they're in a nicer/busier part of town! I don't think anything justifies over $120/month, maybe $125 but that is pushing it. Is it just me? How much do you pay the studio/gym you go to? I've thought of teaching yoga so I can get in for frees, but I just don't know if I can do it, work and fun just don't mix in my yoga/flexibility practice. [link] [comments] |
