    Are massage guns useful

    Posted: 12 Aug 2020 08:16 AM PDT

Hi guys, I am a beginner in flexibility and have a lot of stiffness in the body, possibly from years of not paying attention to mobility and from some injuries from playing sports. I've recently heard about massage guns and a masseuse used one on me once which I actually found really nice. I was wondering if anyone had successfully used them to improve flexibility?

The more flexible I get, the tighter I feel after sitting all day

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 08:50 PM PDT

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I've been working on my flexibility for the past few months to combat quarantine sitting. I've noticed that sitting all day for work makes me feel a lot tighter than before. I feel a need to stretch and foamroll even though I'm more flexible than before. I should note I have an ergo chair and get up every hour.

The urge is good for my habits though. Can't complain.

Should I train flexibility while I have DOMS?

    Posted: 12 Aug 2020 12:58 AM PDT

Probably a noob question. I did a pretty intense leg day yesterday (in a good way, I felt great). I had planned on training active leg flexibility and mobility today but I'm a little bit sorer than usual today. I would usually train front and middle splits, straddle and pancake. Would it be a bad idea to do my usual training session, or would I be better off doing some light stretching instead?

So I rolled my ankle pretty badly 5 years ago and I feared the med student doctor messed up on the diagnosis. Recently I lost enough weight to confirm that my right ankle is completely off centered which is causing knee pain and sport hernias. Are there any stretches I can do to try to fix this??

Is PNF stretching the most effective way to increase flexibility

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 04:13 PM PDT

Hi. When i was at college and university i was always taught PNF (proprioception neuromuscular facilitation) stretching was the way foward in increasing flexibility and wondered 1. Whether it is the best way to increase flexibility (and if it isn't then what is the best) and 2. Whether it can be used to gain such flexibility that someone can be able to do the splits (both types of splits). I used to use PNF stretching to help out with my lifts in my strength sessions and worked but needed a partner to really do it properly. Any advice would be much appreciated.

    Stretching for students

    Posted: 11 Aug 2020 07:13 AM PDT

I am a student who is starting to get back into of grove of studying which entails me sitting in a single position for a long time.this messed my back up last year so I'm trying to be more health conscious.

So I'm trying to be productive by doing pommodoro technique (25 mins work and 5 min break continuously) I would like to know if I can do good stretching routine within 10 minutes.
