Day 8 of 30 days of yoga with Adriene

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 05:59 PM PDT

Day 8 was exactly what I needed tonight. I was a bit wobbly in places like the squatting and I'm nowhere near ready to grab my foot in the one leg pigeon pose but I feel really good right now. My arthritis was acting up bad today due to the drop in temperature.

[COMP] I hope you all like aerials yoga too!

I created a playlist that really helps me stay focused during my yoga sessions. It has a very calm ambient vibe with subtle piano on top. I thought some people might like it and it can help them to stay focused during their sessions. Feel free to give it a listen. Hope you like it!

    Pain after stretching.

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 07:05 PM PDT

I go to the gym pretty regularly. 4 times a week on avg. Anyways, I decided that I should stretch more. (I should have started doing this awhile ago). I've been doing some stretches I found online, and i've been getting pretty into them. After stretching my back I get short term pain. It doesn't work a lot, but it stings at the top half (Around my traps). Is this bad? OR is it because i'm just starting? Thank you.

Can anyone help with my childs pose?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 02:08 PM PDT

    Hi Y'all

I having some difficulty with childs pose. I cannot get my butt to touch my toes. The gap between my butt and feet is about 2 inches.

Any suggestions on how I can close the two inches? I am not sure if I need to work on my shoulders or on my hips.

    TIA

Pain in hip during revolved lunge?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 04:21 PM PDT

Does anyone else experience this? It's a sharp pain in the hip flexor that I am twisting towards. I wonder if I'm not squaring my hips enough? In pre-COVID times I asked my yoga teacher about it and they said that it can be an uncomfortable pose for some people.

Any advice? I try to avoid the pose when possible but it pops up now and then in some of my favorite Down Dog sequences.

Thanks in advance & namaste :)

Is there a word for this...?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 10:28 AM PDT

You half heartedly pull yourself to mat because it has to be done... 5 mins in the first cobra pose and you are hating it... move onto down dog aasans... standing poses... back to ground ones... !boom! 45 minutes gone by. What's the word for the 5th to 45th minutes experience?

Differences between runners and lizard pose?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 11:48 AM PDT

I apologise for the stupid question but what is the difference between these as they seem quite similar to me? Is it the positioning of the hands? I was following a Yoga with Adrien video and was getting confused as she was doing runners pose and then a lizard and I couldn't really wrap my head around it...

Zoom classes - is your camera on or off?

    Posted: 15 Aug 2020 08:54 AM PDT

I know some prefer to keep their camera off due to privacy issues or for other reasons. I know some teachers insist on camera on so that they can see the students and correct their form. What is your opinion/how do you see this/feel about it?

Any smartflow teachers or devotees here?

I've been doing classes with Tiffany Russo during quarantine and I'm thinking I'm going to take Annie Carpenter's course on Glo later this year. I'm finishing up my 200hr training and I like that her 300hr training is a variety of workshops. Jw other people's experience!
