Posted: 31 Oct 2020 04:11 AM PDT I've been dealing with low self esteem for years and just these past few weeks of starting to add yoga in the mornings/evenings, I'm starting to feel more confidence in life. I'm walking with my chest up and I'm not shying away from engaging in conversation with strangers. I feel myself taking time to look at all my surroundings and just being a bit calmer. Is this something that alot of ppl who practice yoga experience in themselves. My mom even mentioned one day she thought I looked taller ..idk lol [link] [comments] |

Posted: 31 Oct 2020 08:56 AM PDT What's the best yoga app for beginners? The app should preferably also have exercises for back/back pain. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 31 Oct 2020 04:06 PM PDT I've been having trouble with my back for a while, and now I've been diagnosed with osteoporosis. As a 27 year old this is pretty gutting news. Trying to stay positive for now though! I'd hate to have to give up on yoga, it's all that keeps me going some days. Some of my favourite poses are backbends though, so I assume I'll have to adjust my practice a bit.. Does anyone have experience with a similar situation? Or any info regarding yoga and bone density? Posted: 31 Oct 2020 05:31 AM PDT I've never been on a yoga retreat before, and I imagine community is a big part of the benefit. Unfortunately options are limited with COVID, but wondering if I could emulate perhaps a "yoga day" of meditation and practice. Ideas on food or structure suggestions? It seems so hard to plan a full day to disconnect and focus on myself, but I also think I need that. There are local trails nearby for walking meditation. I use DownDog App and we have a Peloton subscription as well which I understand has yoga and meditation classes but I haven't done any. Work comped Calm App subscription as well, so feel like I have access to a lot of resources that I haven't tried and getting overwhelmed by choice. [link] [comments] |
Are there part-time teacher training courses in Southeast Asia? Posted: 31 Oct 2020 10:56 AM PDT I would like to get certified after COVID-19, but I can only find courses that are full-time and about one month long. I'm looking for a location where I can spend my days writing, but can learn yoga during off hours. Does that exist? Any recommendations? [link] [comments] |
Best quality yoga wheel to buy? Posted: 31 Oct 2020 10:51 AM PDT My girlfriend had asked for a yoga wheel for Christmas. She is intermediate to advanced level and is going for her teaching certificate. Any recommendations? [link] [comments] |

Has anyone had experience with YogaBody's "Gravity Yoga - At-Home Flexibility Video Course" Posted: 30 Oct 2020 09:43 PM PDT I would love to combine the strength building of yoga with the flexibility gains of this gravity yoga program, but I can't find many reviews on it yet (other than the ones on their website). I've also heard that this kind of stretching just plain feels good, which is a huge plus for me since I feel so stiff and tight all the time, which makes it hard to want to exercise or be active at all. Has anyone tried it? What was your experience? Is it worth the money? Posted this in r/flexibility as well and waiting on replies! [link] [comments] |
