| Can someone share a leg behind head progression? Posted: 10 Nov 2020 05:02 AM PST aI am looking for a leg behind head progression, and any strength training that would help with body opening up in that directions. I searched on youtube some but so far only finding videos of folks doing the pose without breaking it down. The heel of both feet can touch my head but can't seem to get any closer. I am working on hugging knee to chest in pigeon like pose, can do head to knee leg elevated and my worse pose is one where you sit on floor grab the leg from side with opposite hand. Any tips, links or progressions would be appreciated. [link] [comments] | ||
| I want to get my scorpion, but I can’t balance myself Posted: 10 Nov 2020 04:46 AM PST I just got my floor needle a few days ago and I was really excited! My next goal was to get a scorpion but every time I tried, I would always fall over while trying to get my leg up. What are your tips for improving balance? [link] [comments] | ||
| Issues stretching after exercise Posted: 10 Nov 2020 12:08 AM PST I recently started playing Ring Fit, which is quite an intensive exercise game involving classic gym exercises (squats, leg raises, plank etc) + cardio and this has motived me to start stretching again. I am quite determined to get full splits and improve my back bends. At the moment I do some stretching at lunchtime (2 mins each side in splits on a yoga block + free hold splits so I can go lower + frog sit + some dynamic stretching) and play Ring Fit before dinner. From what I have read, it would make more sense to stretch after Ring Fit, but my legs are usually stiff and tired from the squats etc.. despite being 'warmer' I can't get my splits as deep. It feels like that even if I persist in dynamic stretching my muscles are just too tired for splits. Is this normal? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 09 Nov 2020 11:29 AM PST Maybe I pushed over too much on my left side. I have stoped doing my stretchings (front splits) for like 4 days in a roll since the pain started. I will wait more until the pain goes away. I hope did not do something serious and just pushed a little too far. I am going to rest until feel better, if the pain continue for a week I will seek for help. Please, have happening to you? its normal? I am scared for real. [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:29 PM PST Ok, so in a nutshell my legs for the past month or two have felt very heavy. When im walking, I have to put a little more effort into moving my legs. Almost like a 1 pound weight is on my ankles, not a lot but definitely noticable. I have an ok lower back but I am working on that with Foundation Training if anyone knows what that is. However, on my left side when laying down I notice my Illiopsoas is very tight, like a slight pull. The right side is loose, but still heavy. I also feel a slight ache in my left lower back and I am thinking thats because of the Illiopsoas. Tried stretching and strengthening but it provides little relief. I am thinking of trying Somatics today and see if that helps. Also after a long walk my general ankles and calves are really burning, not with pain but almost as if I just did 50 calf raises. this subsides rather quickly however. Does anyone have any insight on how to resolve these issues? Thanks. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 09 Nov 2020 07:46 AM PST I'm really close to getting my splits, and I'm stretching to be able to pull my leg up to my head. I'm not sure if there is a term for this, but if anyone has any stretches for it I would greatly appreciate it! [link] [comments] | ||
