| Feet/ankle issues for practicing splits Posted: 17 Nov 2020 12:00 PM PST I'm using a stretching guide for getting front splits and it's been going well. Now at the end of the routine I spend some time sliding into splits as far as I can go. In the past days I've made a lot of progress but now, quite a bit before I reach that level of discomfort that is still totally fine, my front foot hurts. It's on the top of the foot that is in front of me and happens with both and has been forcing me out of the stretch. Is this common? Is there something I can do for it? I have long term feet/ankle issues (high % tears in ligaments and tendons on the left, sub chronic tendonitis in both, old achilles issues, the list goes on). I tried searching for anything related to this but came up with nothing. Maybe I need to work on foot/ankle strengthening/flexibility? [link] [comments] | ||
