Sanskrit Counting Question Posted: 09 Dec 2020 09:52 AM PST I feel a little lost when it comes to some of the counts in Sanskrit during the Primary series. Sometime the count jumps from one number to the next, or jumps back a few and I just don't get it. I get that each pose has a total vinyasa count that they will finish with, but I feel we jump around the whole time before we get to that dvavimsatih or astasdasa, whatever the total count is. For instance, when you see that total vinyasa count - 18, or 22 or whatever- do those all supposedly start and end at samsthitih? Can someone break down the vinyasa count for me please?
