Ashtanga yoga: Hyperextended Elbows? |
- Hyperextended Elbows?
- Ashtanga after 10KM and split stretching session?
- Modifications for Achilles' Issues
Posted: 30 Jan 2021 05:54 PM PST Hi there! I've been practicing Mysore online consistently for about a month now. I had a sub this week who mentioned that she noticed that my joints (knees and elbows) were hyperextended. I've been having pain on the insides of my elbows that starts to flair up by the time I get to Mari A. I was thinking maybe it was poor form when I jumped back (keeping my hands too wide during chaturanga) but maybe it's also the hyper extension in my elbows? Has anyone else dealt with something similar? Or have any tips to help with elbow pain in hyperextended joints? [link] [comments] |
Ashtanga after 10KM and split stretching session? Posted: 30 Jan 2021 01:45 PM PST Hey, I hope you all are doing great! I have 2 questions, first one would be could I do ashtanga yoga after my 10KM run and 20-30m Split Training session? And my 2nd would be, from which YouTube channel, site or book can I get the best and most easiest acces to ashtanga yoga for beginners? I'm very interested in ashtanga yoga, given that I have heard that after a good session of ashtanga, one feels very calm and doesn't get stressed as easily. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
Modifications for Achilles' Issues Posted: 30 Jan 2021 08:32 AM PST TL:DR, modifications for asana requiring dorsiflexion of the foot. First, my apostrophe is probably in the wrong spot, sorry. Anyway, I have been dealing with a sharp pain in my achilles when it is in dorsiflexion. My pride got in the way and I was peddling out my feet too much to work on getting my heels done in Adho Muhka. I want to be gentle with myself as I know this is not something to mess with. I would like to keep doing a modified primary, but poses such as paschimottanasa, any of the konasanas, supta padangustana, give me pain. In other poses, I can relax my calf muscle to reduce any tension. With these, I find it difficult. I don't want to skip them, but will if it is not possible. Any suggestions on how to modify these to still have some benefit? [link] [comments] |
