I hate those days when your just not in the mood...

    Posted: 19 Feb 2021 11:52 AM PST

I would say most days even when I don't want to do yoga I'm happy to be doing it and loving it within a few minutes. I just hate the days where you go through a whole 45 minutes feeling like you half assed it even though you kept trying to be present. any tips for this?

    Yoga without screens

    Posted: 19 Feb 2021 06:52 PM PST

Hi! I'm looking for suggestions about yoga resources that could help me do 30min sessions every day but without video. I'm watching my 13 month old during the days and I want him to be exposed to what self care looks like and he LOVES trying yoga poses but we haven't introduced him to tv yet and I don't know enough to design my own practice.

Print outs with breath details on them or something like that would be amazing. Does anyone know of resources like this?

    Any former weightlifters here?

    Posted: 19 Feb 2021 02:39 PM PST

Any former weightlifters (i.e competitive bodybuilders, crossfitters, HIIT addicts) here who have left that style of training completely? I recently stopped weight training as I believe it was putting a lot of stress on my body and not giving me the results I desired. I felt like I needed to train insane and do cardio on a strict diet to see any results and lose weight. I am 5'0 131 pounds but I was at my heaviest at 140 last year. I trained and trained but was stuck. I was sick of people claiming it was the way to go and that it should be my foundation when I knew my body needed something different.

I am a new yogi and am super excited to start my journey! Very interested to hear from you all on why you have left or limited that style of training.

Carpal tunnel recovery - splint is off & hard part starts. It’s gonna hurt, but I can’t hurt it. & omg does it hurt. Lumpy scar tissue I’ll need to break up, flexion/extension. Hard to imagine a day it won’t hurt. If anyone else has had success with rehab after, please share story & tips

How long does it take to convert to belly or diaphragm breathing and is it something we should be doing all day?

Has anyone done apanasana (knees-to-chest) sitting up?

    Posted: 18 Feb 2021 08:35 PM PST

I saw this site demonstrate Apanasana (Knees-To-Chest Pose) followed by Ardha Navasana (Half Boat Pose) and the particular image looks like Apanasana, just in an upright position. Looking at other examples of this pose, it doesn't look like that.

So does anyone do that in yoga? Do something like this as a posture? I imagine a meditation posture?
