Ashtanga yoga: Jealous/Narcissistic Teacher? |
| Posted: 30 Apr 2021 05:42 AM PDT Okay, well I was dealing with this Ashtanga teacher. At first glance they seemed really nice and laid back, but later communications got really odd. They called me a "weak a" after falling out of Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana. Later started comparing my practice which is pretty solid in my opinion to other students saying that are far superior than me. The bragging got out of control and I told them "I don't give a f* about your other students practice." Also started bragging about going to India before and saying "I'll never go". I'm like okay? We're still in a pandemic. In the end I ended up blocking them and since they have tried to contact me, seems like they are obsessed with, jealous, whatever you want to call it. It gave me a bad taste, I'm probably going to have to go to Philadelphia to seek proper guidance considering there's no one else in my area. [link] [comments] |
