very sharp pain behind my knee, is it normal?

    Posted: 25 May 2021 01:19 PM PDT

Apologies if this is not the place, I'll gladly move the thread if it's necessary.

I'm a complete beginner so I'm trying to touch my toes first, but whenever I try it I feel a very sharp pain behind my left knee, it doesn't feel like muscle pain at all, feels like I'm going to snap a cord or something. I don't feel that on my right knee or anywhere else in the body

I have never had a regular exercise routine before, so I don't know what is normal pain and what's not. Is that common when first stretching? I know I'm less flexible than a wood board, but I'm worried this will stop me from getting where I want. I want to see a doctor but it's simply not possible at the moment, any advice or insight about what is happening?

If you have 12-mins to spare today, your back will thank you for this short but sweet flexibility practice.

Help! I can't squat because of a lack of flexibility

    Posted: 25 May 2021 12:00 PM PDT

I cannot do squats . At all . Never could. My problem is that I cannot go low without arching my back and I feel like there is something blocking it /stuck so the lowest I can go on a squat is about 140 degrees . Sumo squats I can do better but my form is far from ideal. I still do wall sits and I try to squat holding onto something because I have zero balance and it helps but after months I see no progress.

I'm pretty sure it's a flexibility problem (where exactly no ideia). I do some yoga (warrior poses, happy baby , child's pose, lunges, some ankle stretches) but nothing very especific.

How can I improve my squat form?

Also, if this has been repeatedly posted before, i'll delete it!

    Injured Hamstring/Glute Area. POTENTIAL PULL?

    Posted: 25 May 2021 07:50 AM PDT

    Hi.

Last summer I was deadlifting. Was very heavy weight. 90% of 1rm. The bar was apparently broken. Where the smaller cylindrical gip knurling part connects into the large cylindrical 2inch bearing for the weight. The smaller part could pull out of the larger.

SO, when I went to complete the rep, essentially my left hamstring/glute took the full fucking load. I took months off of squatting. But now when I even try to get close to what I was squatting/deadlifting a year ago, OR when I do sprints, my fuckin leg hurts!!

It's the part that connects the hammy and the glute on my left leg... Not sure of the issue... any advice? I'm going to get it looked at for sure, just wondering what to do in the meantime. I can only run a 4.7 40 right now with the damn pain :(

Does anyone have a good back stretching routine for flexibility?

Wondering if anyone would be willing to share their back stretching routine to get a super flexible back. And how often should you do it?

Heel pain when I straight leg bend over and flex my foot.

    Posted: 25 May 2021 06:14 AM PDT

I'm trying to see if there are some good stretches to do. I'll probably see my doctor about it. I'm wondering if it's from standing all day. I've been stretching until I feel pain then stopping, also foam rolling/rolling out my calves. Any insight would be awesome.
