    Front Split Slow Progress

    Posted: 18 Apr 2020 02:25 AM PDT

3-4 year of front split progression. I would like to have this done by next year and be working on slight over split. I am doing isometrics and slowly increasing times. I feel most sensation in glutes and hamstrings closer to the abductor, this is where I am sore/stiff the next day but think the hip flexor/extension needs a lot more work. Open for suggestion.

    Split progress

    Posted: 17 Apr 2020 09:33 AM PDT

Been working on middle splits for 3 years now consistently, slow progress. Any tips/suggestions for the last bit is appreciated. Especially when you do middle splits chest down, the gap is a bit bigger. My front split is stuck on back leg but that can be separate post later.

    Right hip external rotator problems

    Posted: 17 Apr 2020 07:05 AM PDT

I've noticed when I do body weight training and running that I often have moderate pain when my right hip rotates out. It happens especially when doing one legged dead lifts or when putting my right foot over my left knee and then bending forward to tie my shoe. It's also painful if I get out of the car after driving for more than an hour or so. I noticed that when I drive, I tend to rotate my right hip out. I don't have these problems on my left side, so my guess is that driving has something to do with it.

Is this a strength issue or a flexibility issue? I've got the book Stretching Anatomy, so I have some stretches I could do. I just don't know what kind of program might help keep me from having this pain. Will stretching help and, if so, how should I be stretching?

I'm 47yo and overweight. (The weight is trending down but the years are trending up.)

    Glute soreness ??

    Posted: 17 Apr 2020 02:40 PM PDT

So I started a personal goal for myself which is stretching for 10+ minutes everyday to improve my flexibility. I'm on day 9 and for the first time ever I'm started to experience sore glutes from it. And I am or was (f*ck this pandemic) a regilar gym goer(6x a week) and did heavy weight training aka powerlifting. It feels like I did 100 sets of heavy hipthrusts Rn. So I just want to know am I the only one? Is this normal?

Stiff guy gets the middle split in 24hours - is that even possible ? HELP!!

    Hallo flexible friends :)

i have been trying to learn the splits months now, i definetly see progress after sticking at it daily.

My real question is, is it possible to get it in one day of full dedication ? i just saw the video of this guy and honestly its quite amazing if what he did is true, it looks legit but wanted your guys opinion on this as somebody might know better.

Other than that i see pnf stretching and loaded mobility getting thrown around a lot. What have you experiences is the best way to about it ?

    Thanks in advance to everyone
